  • "Let us then be up a doing

With a heart for any fate

    Still achieving still pursuing

Learn to labor and to wait."

    ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I think this is very inspirational.

  • "How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!

The world forgetting, by the world forgot.

Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!

Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd"

Extract from Eloisa to Abelard, by A.Pope.

Made popular by the film Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind.

  • Don't know who said this but, "You don't have a half built stone wall, It's either a stone wall, or a pile of rocks." Follow through, I always try and keep that in mind, I tend to halfass things due to no patience.

  • Mine is "Love is war, I'm your soldier."

  • Oh yeah, it's by J Holiday. It's the only one I could think of!

  • i also have another quote. "Millions saw the apple fall, but Newton was the only one who asked why."

    -Bernard Baruch

  • oh,yeah, and that's not my favorite, i have tons of them, but that's the only one i could think of on the top of my head haha

  • "There is a tide in the affairs of men, which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune but omitted, and the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat and we must take the current when it serves or lose the ventures before us." -Julias Caesar

This quote was at the end of the first episode of a show which I watched after I moved to Iowa, and now that I think about it, it rang true to what was going on. A memorable quote!

  • "Vote for Pedro and your wildest dreams will come true!"

    Napoleon Dynamite.

P.S. I've seen the "You had me with hello" so many times that I must say my favorite one would be "A night at the Roxbury"

  • my favorite qoute is from my gym teacher. it really makes me think. "If you aim at nothing, you will hit it." i thought for a week what that meant. i couldnt get it off my mind. i have found out what it means. If you aim for nothing, you WILL be a nothing.aim for something higher. be something. not a nothing. ill never forget that qoute.

  • This is one of my favorites from Albert Einstein:

The really valuable thing in the pageant of human life seems to me not the political state, but the creative, sentient individual, the personality; it alone creates the noble and the sublime, while the herd as such remains dull in thought and dull in feeling.

  • "This topic brings me to that worst outcrop of herd life, the military system, which I abhor... This plague-spot of civilization ought to be abolished with all possible speed. Heroism on command, senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism -- how passionately I hate them!

  • "A smile is a curve that sets a lot of things straight."

  • "Leave the gun, take the cannolis."

    -Peter Clemenza

    "The Godfather"

I love this quote because the godfather is definitely my favorite movie of all time. This quote is also known by some people who have never watched the godfather, and it is probably the most famous quote in the movie.

  • sorry but i messed up my quote, it is actually "Leave the gun take the cannoli." there wasn't supposed to be an "s" at the end of cannoli.

  • "In Death, there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps...and no escapes."

    -The Coroner

    "Final Destination"

I love this quote because it interlinks with the heavily dark and moody undertones of the film itself, and creates a negative contrast of death and it's stubborn nature. This line also tells us that the characters and persons who we have begun to relate to and feel sorrow towards have no hope and chance of standing up to the ultimate force of the Grim Reaper-the bade dude.

  • PS: when the LIMO breaks down, not when the bus breaks down

    -Izzy

  • "you can't handle the truth!"

    from A few good men

    lolz...

    or

"you don't even think to call me Godfather"

    from The Godfather
