"professoressa" means a female teacher. A male teacher is called "professore". But it is only used for High school or university teacher; for Primary school the right word is "maestra" if the teacher is female and "maestro" if he is a male. Anyway, I recommend you not to call "professoressa" your male Italian teacher. He could have a bad reaction... :D

A seconda della parola si dice ds o ts: in zucchero ad esempio puoi usare sia ds che ts, in altre invece solo una delle due.

in generale la z è pronunciata dz quando è la prima lettera di una parola (zebra, zona, zaino...), mentre è quasi sempre tz se è all'interno di una parola (azione, cozza, pazienza...).

Ci sono rare eccezioni (azzardo, azzerare, azzurro...)in cui si pronuncia dz anche se all'interno.

When you speak English don't forget to pronounce the 'H' letter - "Hotel" not "otel". Not that it sounds bad:) But it's not correct. Other than that your lessons are very nice and I am sure a lot of people will learn Italian because of You.
