  • euhhhh... why protesting in TORONTO if you want to out-law shark products in GERMANY,SWITZERLAND and AUSTRIA??????? + i can understand not starting in asia but why these 3 country in particular?? why not USA (strong conservation lobby) and spain ( biggest non-asian finning fleet in the world)?? oh well , i guess any initiative is good to take anyway, good luck guys!

  • subscribed good luck

  • I wish I knew. I would have definately been there!!! :(

  • Wish I could have been there with you :(

    Good work!

    Cheers

  • i hate people!!!! wooo go me

  • Humans need simplification on subjects.. So To Save The SHARK.. Which is the TOP Predator of the Ocean is of the Utmost Importance To Save our Oceans Current Eco-system.! So if we say Save ALL FISH then the Priority Subject will be lost.!

  • why save the sharks and not the lobsters? I think the whole protest is a waist of time because there is no point and not an issue to protest. Save one fish type and not another??? helloooo

  • ok..save the whales AND the lobsters!

  • I'm so glad I saw this. I didn't know that shark cartilage could be in my dog's biscuits. I'll be checking with the manufacturer and we'll be having a little email communication if it's true.

  • what i want to know is when there will be another one so i can help out. it's a shame how we are destroying an animal that has been on the earth for over 450 millions years. there older then dinosaurs

  • Without sharks keeping the ecosystem in check, there will be disasterous consequences for us all. Coral reef systems are the rain forests of the seas which provide over 70% of the air we breathe. Sharks are integral for making that happen. Save the sharks! It is imperative to our own survival.

  • Yo.......increase the peace.

    Good stuff!

  • screw ppl who poach

  • I saw the documentary where the whalers , when they catched the shark, cut its fins off and threw the shark, still alive, in the water..i support the protestores, definately!

  • Does anyone know who organized the protest?? I live in Toronto and never even heard about it! Great work to everyone involved, wish I could have helped out

  • SAVE THE SHARKS! STOP SHARK FINNING!

  • Are you the one in the shark suit???

  • great job sharks are magnificant creatures and need to be protected .

  • cool i love sharks too and i hate how ppl kill them!

  • By the way, you guys should acess this user on youtube: endofthelinemovie.

    Cheers!

  • Great work!

  • Congrats BugMagnet! Keep up the fantastic work. We should figure out how to work together!!!!

  • I could not understand 40% of what he said but because I'm german and my english is not that well. but it sounded remarkable.

But were doing our part too: Sharkproject built up an "blue ary" of shark-conservation supporters, which includes like all diving clus aín austria, germany and switzerland and many other ppl like me. We are alsreaddy over 2000000 people and demand the ban of shark produktzs in our countrys.

  • Great job Bug Magnet! Please, keep us posted about all your activities

  • As you know, our goal is to get all shark-meat products out of the trade in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

The reason why we start in only 3 countries is that we can't point at the asians and say they are bad because they fin the sharks while we ourselves are not much better.

Since 2005 Sharkproject managed to make ca. 8000 supermarkets etc in Germany to quit selling shark-meat.

Our best argument: sharksmeat is poisonous!

they contain methyl-mercury a poison that damages the brain.

  • all parents did walk to school. my grandpa said he walked 10 miles uphill to get there and 10 miles uphill to get home.

  • The energy that this gathering delivered was fantastic!!!

  • Well done to Bob and all the members of ARK II for organizing this great event. This is only a start, and each and everyone of you can help to stop this shark killing. Lets all help to make 2009 The International Year Of The Shark.
