  • this song is just insanely good

  • oh my , thanks for this up load this . I have heard this album sense 18 years old when had it on cassitte tape . My player when out and i gave the tape away .

  • Comment removed

  • his sweeps sound like blisters popping :)

  • The best part of the 80's was inversions on rhythm guitar, case in point right here. I just wish he didn't look like a faggot on the album cover

  • I wish he just kept soloing until the end, he's that kind of guitarist, the vocals don't complement his guitar with most of his music. The drummer does some tricky stuff in there though, 6/8 grooves really hard at this tempo I've noticed.

  • @flanzashreddah bro this shits slow as hell and not difficult wtf

  • @RGdood trust it aint as easy as it seems

  • @RGdood Not about speed. Its about quality. And its better than anything Mettalica has done or ever will do.

  • I prefer and appreciated more the talent of virtuoso guitarists (malmsteen, vai, guilbert, michael angelo etc) when they were playing as part of a band (with a vocalist)...

  • @dntinpalevo Me too, they go to prove that musical statements reach far closer to the "right idea" than any language or religion ever could or ever will, fame aside of course.

  • wow really i just bought a condom called trojan fire and ice yessssssss

  • I am just glad I was born in the time of Yngwie Malmsteen!!

    GOD bless this man!!

  • @sa71na I do agree that Yngwie is a great influence for many guitarists and an amazing technician, but I don't think that his music has got something to do with good taste...I think that the way he has been repeating his original soloing style makes him is kind of tacky today... And i DO now that this music is not the hardest to play at all. Classical guitar, like Villa Lobos or bach stuff are difficult, but compared to Mc Laughlin or even Pat Metheny, yngwie's music is not crazy at all...

  • @theslapdealers totally. In his day it was impressive to transcribe music from piano's hayday for the guitar, but it's all played out now it seems, guitars themselves are designed to minimize difficulty, he scalloped his too, idk if I would wanna do that.

  • @flanzashreddah True. At his time he was a tornado for guitar players (and for the mainstream public), even if I think that jazz killer musicians laught at his major scales soloing. As you said, it is true that playing like that is no longer inhuman, with all the internet lessons etc... So that's why people must listen to jazz guitarists (again!) to become real musicians, not by playing YM and fast stuff! I like Yngwie indeed, cause sometimes he plays very inventive solos ;)

  • @theslapdealers Im glad you picked Yngwie back up because hes not that bad...and hey you gotta hand it to him on his dedication to minor/harmonic minor/diminished/ and the minor modes. Think about how much more bad ass he would be if he extended his tatses to include the major modes and. He really shows his sophistication when he slows the fuck down a little,...its not all about the shred. Lasty I love him because he is the campaign for getting people to play more than just pentatonics.

  • @ramindsr i agree with you, it's true that he has always been sying to young guitarist: practice your scales!! I love Yngwie's slow and inspired solos, they are cazy. Just slow down sometimes YM!! Concerning the minor scales, I do agree that he is a master, but he always plays the classical baroque phrases, and sometimes I think he could sound more oriental with these scales (well he does on "Flamenco Diablo"). But I would LOVE to hear what yngwie would sound playing jazz fusion!

  • @theslapdealers Your right about his phrasing...and he wears out harmonic minor. My hat just tipped off to you when you mention Jazz Fusion. Thats were my heart is. Its bad ass,,,but with finesse. Just imagine what YM could do if he owned the Dorian Mode...I know its cliche but its a start.

  • @ramindsr .....and im not even gunna get into harmony.

  • @ramindsr Haha cliché but when Steve Vai uses it, you understand that he is a more complete musician than YM! Jazz Fusion is crazy men, I used to love neo classical and I was so happy to be able to play these stuff before putting an ear on Greg Howe, Holdsworth, Mc Laughlin and Metheny... Thats when I discovered that guitar was far more complicated than what I thought, but now, "that's were my heart is" ;)

  • @theslapdealers Absolutely and to go ahead and seal the deal he would "beat" Yngwie in a duel...like you said hes more complete...what most people dont realise is...Vai is just as "fast" if not faster. Yngwies playing is so linear and he just doesnt have enough respect for harmony (the vertical aspect of music for everyone else reading this) as Vai does. In response to your last sentence, I cant even listen to rock anymore..it sounds snobby but its just too simplistic..ive outgrown it

  • AOR!!

  • Who should we thank more God or Satan for the Neopolitan and Diminshed Chords? Help anyone * )

  • got talent

  • this is the opidemy of talent, any one who can take classical music, speed it up, distort it, and turn it into metal is straight talent

  • fucking love it!

  • 10 people like dicks in their asses

  • @justBuddy1989 that means that justin bieber disliked this 10 times LOL!

  • This is probably his worst album ever. But it is still good music.

  • @MetalHeadViking I think this is one of his best, but I also like a lot of vocal melody in my music, and this has it :)

  • @MetalHeadViking this was his best album. Goran and Joe Lynn Turner were the best he had.

  • @racefactory900 JLT was great. Alltough Mark Bowels and JSS were probably the best. Not so sure about Göran though. I think Yngwie ha done much better thatn this.

The guitar intro is a copy paste from when he played the "jet to jet" solo for Alcatrazz

  • Lord Yngwie, allow us to present to you the captured 10 trolls, so we may sacrifice them on the altar of the gods of valhalla and let their bones bleach under the sun to your eternal glory! All hail Yngwie the great northern Axe

  • 10 faggots disliked this song, incredible...but hey, that's why we're STILL in Afghanistan.

  • needs more out of time arpeggios

  • This album was a victim of bad timing.Grunge and Rap had already taken over

the airwaves.I hope more people rediscover this musical gem

  • awesome song, definitely the best out of this album

  • you know some parts really sound like guitarsuck by bumblefoot or something like that

  • i dont care much for this.

  • @MrAglassofwater then gtfo

  • the solo is one hell of a run.peace

  • yngwie is our time mozart

  • does malmsteen sing there ?? he has areally nice voice .. whith this voice ... he should have sung on the first albums too ... why he didn't?

  • @dcdeal001 Sotto and Turner were great singers don't you think?

  • @SilverSurfer102 malmsteen is good as well ... too bad he couldnt play gread and sing together ;))

.. he should take a lessen from the singe songwriter and guitarist from necrophagist. I know now i'm pretty nasty, but that's my HO. ,)))

FANTASTIC SONG !! My Life is FIRE and ICE, too

  • @SilverSurfer102 yea i do.wasnt turner from ritchie blackmores rainbow.well any ways i agree with you,,peaceout

  • @sa71na agree 10000%

I've been playing guitar for almost 4 years now and the best I can do is the main theme of "Black Star", the opening to "Presto Vivace", and the sweeping section in Jason Becker's "Altitudes". That's like, not even 1% of what I need to be able to do lol. This stuff is hard and takes a lot of dedication and passion to do perfectly.

  • This is Yngwie at his best!

  • part of intro is from jet to jet solo

  • loving the intro :)

  • Fire and Ice! My too favorite Elements?

  • this would have been perfect in Rocky 4

  • @h3adbanger95 ahahahahahahah, I've always thought!!

  • @h3adbanger95 I Agree!

  • h o t w i r e

    hotwire.com!

  • dude this is beyond imagination

  • IL MIGLIORE!!!!! THE MASTER!!!

  • i read your entire chat and im impressed. i wish you both all the best of luck :)

  • @Aremine

Thank you I appreciate your comment. The reason most of us are here listening to this song, is because we love great music with soul and artistry. Hopefully we all can spread the word to younger generations, that there is more to music than just the background noise from talentless manufactured souless junk sold to them these days in the name of music.

  • @EgoShredder exactly. its sad where music has gotten to

    btw im 18y myself :p

  • @EgoShredder Hey man change is on the way im 13 and love this music.

  • @TheMatthewssaints me too bro I used to always go to guitarcenter when I was 13 play Racer X, Malmsteen, Scorpions, whatever. Now I'm 15 and still doing the same!

  • hey this is a tough one, yagwie and Jesus.

  • lol the first phrases are just copys of other songs that he did on the marching out album

  • jesus christ, yngwie is the best guitarist to come onto earth. period.

  • yngwie=jesus

  • @santanasbeast actually jesus=yngwie. Yngwie is the original, jesus should be compared to him, not the other way around :)) although i think yngwie > jesus.

  • This is problably my favorite Yngwie cd. Every song on it rocked!!

  • 3 dislikes?!?! YOU'VE UNLEASHED THE FUCKING FURY!!!

  • @MechaStreisand1 Only like ten people know what your talking about.

  • @MechaStreisand1 hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!

  • @MechaStreisand1 now 9 dislikes :/ F'EM ALL!!!

  • Always been one of my favourite ever guitar solos, so much feel and passion.

    Love that part at 3:20

  • 3 dislikes ??? ¬¬ Lord Gaga fans !

  • Mr Malmsteen is just one my favorites ..... the solo in this song just owns

  • Meu esse cara toca d+!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a great track from what really for me, is Malmsteen's last great album, "Final Curtain" ended it for me with Malmsteen on this album, after this album it was all pretty much the same old. Shame there is no live version of this song anywhere from Yngwie himself.

  • the only problem i have with any of ynwie's music is the god awful singing

besides that...best i've ever heard, and i've heard everyone that people consider great

  • @banklikefrankwhite1 you retard the vocals are great go kill yourself

  • @FedorCroCop44

you retard the vocals are terrible go kill yourself

See what I did there? I just imitated your stupid bigotry.

  • @Knightgil your retarded you fuck

  • @banklikefrankwhite1 Don´t mistake great with dexterity with guitar. Malmsteen can really master the guitar but as a composer he is very poor.

  • @knoobidade That's why I prefer Satriani. Joe has the technical chops AND could write some damn good music.

  • @Elthenar SATRIANI HAS NO IDEA HOW TO SET A KILLER BAND,YNGWIE IS A SHOWMAN AND HAS THE BEST VOCALS EVER.YOU LIKE SATRIANNI CAUSE IT IS YOUR FAVORITE ,THAT'S ALL.WE LIKE YNGWIE.BUT GEORGE LYNCH AND TONY MC ALPINE ARE BETTER PERFORMERS.STILL THE VIKING IS THE BEST MUSICIAN HE HAS THE WHOLE BAND.

  • @masterpatric07 Lay off the drugs and the caps lock button, son.

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Yngwie's albums have featured some of the very best in the business of metal and rock, but he writes the songs and adds the vocals on afterwards instead of around them from the start. He wants the guitar to be the main voice, which is not good for the singer involved. They still turn out some stellar performances though.

  • @EgoShredder are you a musician? (not an asshole question i promise) only reason i ask is, any band i've been around, been in, or heard /read in an interview that i can think of has said the music always comes first, then the vocals

i've tried writing songs around vocals, but i haven't done it right yet (but i'm also not that good)

if you do or can do that...i tip my cap to you

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Yes I am. Writing the music with vocals in mind is not too hard, so long as you work with the singer all the way through, otherwise you just have to do your best to make them work.

  • @EgoShredder oh, well i got a little confused, that's kind of just "writing a song together" so in that case, your original point is probably correct, it is all about the guitar with yngwie..and i'll be honest, the singer he uses may be technically good, but i can't stand him, i can't even listen to em...

it's like death metal to me (in that vocals kill my enjoyment of good music)

  • @EgoShredder do you have music online? or somewhere? i'd love to hear it

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

To be honest I have had the worst ten years of my life and have done nothing in this period, but the desire to return to being a musician again is strong and I find my playing is surprisingly good considering I rarely play. Most of my recorded stuff is quite old now and not the best I could have been if I had continued, but some of it I quite like and other people do too. It is not Neo-Classical though apart from a few here and there.

  • .... My technique was good at the time but I made the error of not allowing enough practice time prior to a recording, so it sounds a little sub par for my tastes. ht*p://w*w.eclipseofficialbandpage.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

  • @EgoShredder do you have any idea how creepy the beginning of your answer is? that is almost my current story verbatim...that's fucking weird man, are you in my head? except i don't believe i'm that good, even though people around me seem to tell me i am, but they don't know shit, they've never heard a good guitar player lol, on your recorded stuff being old...check on that one here too. well i hope you get back in to it...it's a good feeling when you do, as i found out a month or two ago

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Yep I have had many people who were seriously impressed even when I was just starting out, and yet I always thought they were mad! However I have always had unshakeable belief in myself as a musician, not in an arrogant way....just a confident and with a vision. I could never find anyone like minded or good enough in the UK to form a band with though; they all were content with playing covers or being lazy and not pushing any musical barriers.

  • @EgoShredder just wish i could find someone to play with, but hey please don't assume that because i love yngwie that that's all i listen to,i like anything that says "i'm a great musician" even if it's not technically dazzling

by the way, are you kidding? or modest to a fault? the first song i heard...take your way home, that's sick, reflections was sick too..you would be doing a disservice to the world if you didn't get back in to it..umm to quote a movie "if you build it, he (they) will come

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Me too and that is also one reason I became sad that I could not reach my goal of a full time band, writing music that could excite and touch people around the world. Sounds a bit grand but I did want to fulfil my writing potential and go somewhere with it. Many in the UK are content with the same boring and over commercial music time after time, whereas in other parts of Europe they are more adventurous and cultured in the history of music.

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

By the way thank you so much for your kind words, I was very moved and who knows...maybe my time will come through more hard work and new people to write with. If there is any of your music you would like to share, I would love to hear it. I always appreciate it when someone pours they soul into making inspiring music. Hmmm....now if only I could find a good singer!

  • @EgoShredder are you kidding man? after hearing that, hell no i don't have anything to share lol but in all honesty, the four songs i have that are actually conceptualized, and sound good enough that i could share, are all hampered by a horrible drum track that my partner recorded (in one take) on my dr rhythm...the intention was only to make a guide track for when we found a drummer, however, me and his sister broke up, now he hates me, even though i caught up with him a few months ago and he

  • @EgoShredder actually lives like 3 streets down from me (when we played, we lived like 30 minutes away)

but they are guitar songs like yours, i appreciate shredders, but i am by no means one, they are just (what i think) good rock/hard rock songs that travel in a progressive pattern. if i could find a new lead guitar player, i'd love to re record them, because it's not my fault he won't forgive me for whatever i did (i'm still not really sure, once i was forced to hold her down on the ground

  • @EgoShredder because she was punching me, swinging like crazy, and a neighbor called the cops because of her yelling before that...but honestly, all i did was make a joke that was not personal, she was drunk and went crazy) wow, now i sound like white trash...i should go on jerry springer...anyway the point is...he was the only person i've ever connected with on a musical level..and that's part of the reason i had lost interest

also, that should say "they aren't guitar songs" not they are

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Life gets in the way sometimes, hell just look at Yngwie! That guy has gone through some major shit and he is STILL standing strong and doing his thing; a true inspiration to us all whether you like him or his music or not.

My guitar writing partner or jamming to be more precise, unfortunately showed his real DNA and upbringing by being white trash and anti-social with heavy drinking and recreational drug use. He held me back though because I was stupidly loyal to him

  • However I did connect with him on a music level and despite his lack of talent, he did inspire me no end and gave me some of the most enjoyable music sessions of my life. There was true chemistry there and I have not experienced this with anyone else before of after.

I do not consider myself a shredder despite my alias name, as I tend to write progressive music and sometimes in a melodic hard rock vein. I also blend in other non rock styles when the muse dictates as such.

  • @EgoShredder and the orginal guy i was talking about, was a heavy drinker, but it never got in the way...it sucks when it feels like you just can't find that someone to work with..i may be able to do stuff on my own...but i don't want to..i want to make music like the guy i played with that recorded the 4 songs with me...but we move on...are you married now? or have family obligations? is getting back on the horse an option for you? you said you have a studio? man you should record more

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Yes we move on as you say. No never been married or in a relationship for that matter, mainly because I had my head deep in my music for the whole of the 1990s and never pushed myself into fine tuning social skills and getting a girl. No regrets there as it is merely another path, but it does mark you out as a weirdo and social outcast even though I am on a different path to everyone else. If anything music keeps you young and marriage + kids ages you terribly!

  • @EgoShredder lol truer words have never been spoken..in the aforementioned relationship, i felt like i aged about 30 years...hahahahah sorry about your mom...obviously taking care of her is primary...but i mean it, you are doing the world a disservice if you don't put some stuff out there...your music has skill and soul..that's a good combo, even if you don't "make it" or whatever....there are people that are going to want to hear your stuff..

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Thanks and all I can say is, well watch this (or some other) space. Think I best stop posting or people will think I am spamming! LOL! Oh and try yourself and have another go at some songs, as it is the best feeling in the world even if it is all consuming!

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Getting back on the horse is a very real possibility, but I now face the problem of a 73 yr old mother so her needs will need dealing with shortly. There is always something! I feel life begins once you have your own responsibilities away from the parental home. My life is yet to begin!

Home studio in a bedroom but the gear is good and took a while to get. The guitars need a good service though, as they are 20yrs old and been used a lot at home and live etc.

  • @EgoShredder lol, seriously get out of my head, i promise i am not making this up, even though it sounds like i am...i worked with a guy..total asshole, impossible to work with, but he had an amazing voice and could play a guitar, so i was, like you say, stupidly loyal..lost about 4 years...we'd have songs that i was ok with..get em ready for mastering, he'd have a psychotic episode, and we had to re record again, which NEVER sounded as good as the ones we agreed on in the first place...

  • @EgoShredder i'll get to the rest soon..but just based off the first two...damn man..i'm pretty jealous right now

    that's beautiful...

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Glad you enjoyed them and the track Eclipse is the most liked by other people, including online when I have shared it. It's also one of the very first tracks I ever wrote back in 1992, shortly after I turned 20 and only been playing guitar a few months. The recording was done in the mid 90s. My guitar writing partner at the time asked if it really was me playing all of this, which was odd because he had seen me do much more impressive playing during rehearsals!

  • @EgoShredder ok.. heard em all except the last two (got a 404 error), but man i am thoroughly impressed...so you wrote all those? judging by the url, you live in england..but if you were ever in the states, i'd love to buy you a beer (or whatever you drink) that's good shit right there

  • @banklikefrankwhite1

Yes I am in the UK and yes I wrote everything apart from the odd riff on the Take Your World track, which was by my mate. I recorded and sequenced everything as part of a private unreleased project, which took 2 yrs...15hrs a day everyday. It was to tie up loose ends and close a chapter in my life, before embarking on new and more advanced material, but circumstances meant I never got back to it... Anyway my studio is better than before and I still have ideas in my head

  • 1992? Oh, damn--that means Jeny's not playing keyboards on it--MEEHHHH!

  • @tpocain LoL :)

  • @Yngsatchvai Yeah, yeah, I know--it's just that I really love Jens and I didn't know what year this was from at first...

  • @DarkSideOfTime95 no way, he's better than decent. like Frank Zappa said, "he's remarkable."

  • Fire and Ice....Damned good song/condoms.

  • i just so love the sound of the 80's. isnt this song a perfect ending song to a movie in the 80'. like the hero of the movie driving away while the ending credits are rolling.

  • @mojoefly haha, exactly. painted a perfect picture in my mind of that

  • @mojoefly And nobody's watching... HAHAHA!!!

  • @DarkSideOfTime95 Decent? That's like saying Megan Fox is "Kinda cute"

    He's gifted!

  • @Yngsatchvai megan fox is kinda cute i guess. Yngwie is a great guitarist though

  • @DarkSideOfTime95

    Whahahaha!....hahaha...

  • this album is so awesome they named condoms after it

  • @MetalliMagic AHAHHAH nice call

  • I love the "Finale"excerpt.

God his arpeggios ideas and classical touches on his playing are the best

  • love this song! you kick ass

  • ORRIBLE!

  • @nutless8 aprende a escribir forro de mierda

  • @Nick666Metal sorry ..... volevo scrivere ORRIBILE (ho saltato una I). ORRIBILE! (va bene ora? Hai capito?)Questa è la mia opinione.Questa canzone è inascoltabile! La musica è un'altra cosa.

  • @nutless8

suca, non capisci uno stracazzo di musica!!!!

  • omg, they burnt the guitar, what a waste :-( and beside it might burn Yanwie, very dangerous.

  • @binary0011 Ok, firstly, I think that guitar is the famous "duck" or "play loud". That being the case, they did not burn the guitar, as Yngwie still has the duck. It is also pictured surrounded by fire on the cover of Rising Force. Miraculously, it survived that incineration unscathed too ;) Do you really think Yngwie's hand is on fire on the cover of Perpetual Flame? They can add all the stuff in with editing, and no guitars or Yngwies have to be harmed.

  • one of my favourite songs :)

  • @ghostwrx No ! He had his accident in 1987. Fire & Ice didn't come out til 1992. So there's no Reason why he doesn't Play this Fabulous Song

  • 1st of March is Justin Bieber's birthday. This little roach has been infecting the whole world. Because of him, the world of rock is extincting.

So on his birthday, we all will go to his "Baby" official video and push the 'dislike' button so that the 'dislike' bar becomes 10 times bigger than the 'like' bar.

If you are a rock fan, join with me and thumbs up me, copy-paste this message to all rock videos. We have six months to unite and fight against this little cockroach

  • @headcrabsandparkour , and you are not help by responding, also pushing is name even further.

I Buy Yngwie Malmsteen Album In Shop in My Country, Indonesia. Yngwie Malmsteen Great Playing Guitar. I Will Always Listening Yngwie malmsteen Songs in My Room. Forever. Go Yngwie Malmsteen ! Greeting From Indonesia ! haris.
  • Hard to believe this guy and the swedish chef came from the same place..

  • Yngwie does not own the rights to the songs on the recordings "Fire and Ice". "Eclipse"

and "Magnum Opus".Perhaps that's why he dose'nt perform them live!

  • whoever disliked it can suck my balls

  • through all the endless same malmsteen crap I have found a song that's fucking great. Nice vocals. The eclipse album kicks ass btw.

  • @schuriken

Depends on how much you like instrumental metal music I suppose, because Yngwie writes a lot of guitar work into his songs and then fits vocal parts in. So if you are after purely song based stuff you better look elsewhere!

  • 0:25 - 0:51 MY PHANTS ARE WHITE

  • I LOVE THIS ALBUM! Thanks for the upload!

Hey , he just came out with a new album returning to his roots

I think it's called "perpetual flame"

  • @adrian30020 saw him with Therion back in 2005... he stepped on my hand when i was leaning on the monitor... I was honoured
