Amazing episode. His perfect woman who knows him completely and he has to say goodbye to her just like everyone else so sad. I like when he's saying that she's the tardis and also a woman and amy says "Did you wish really hard?" The whole interaction in that episode was great.
I THINK THAT THE ASTRONAUT KID IS ACTUALLY RIVER SONG, AND THEN SHE KILLS THE DOCTOR TO SAVE HIM FROM DALEKS AND THE REST, SO THEY THINK HE'S DEAD AND HE LET HIM GO.
The diffrence between Idris and Rose was that Idris had her soul drained at the beginning of the episode, she was no longer Idris but an empty body. Rose still had her soul so she retained her personality.
@RaeLynnShikure In "The Parting of the Ways", it was different. Rose absorbed the Time Vortex, which is essentially the TARDIS, but she was still ROSE (or Bad Wolf, whatever). The TARDIS/Idris was an entirely different being. They shouldn't be expected to act the same way. They weren't the same people.
Loved this episode. I just wish that, when Rose had the TARDIS inside her, she had acted the same way. The only continuity between the two human-TARDIS moments were the use of "my doctor."
@twistoffate29 I dunno, both were referred to as "the heart of the TARDIS" and they did both use the same "My Doctor" bit. But regardless, this episode was fantastic, and plot holes are all over Doctor Who. No point in spending too much time at this one, lol.
@RaeLynnShikure The funniest part, of course, is that the plot holes actually fit in with the theme of the doctor not explaining anything fully overall...
"If it helps you, then think of it that way. Even though it isn't at all that way."
Quite possibly the best episode of Series Six.

I know Gaiman wrote the original one, but we have to remember Moffat changed it for this series

The Doctor Who Insiders are tantalizing teasers, but I wish BBC America would show Doctor Who Confidential!

@RaeLynnShikure i think what rose had inside her (lol) was the time vortex, dont think it was the tardis.

mhh... Still not feeling "The Doctor" vibes from Matt Smith.
Can't he just degenerate into David Tennant? Or cant David Tennant from some wibley-wobley alternate Whoinverse come and take his place?
Avalontlw 9 months ago
@Avalontlw Or you can just quit complaining about David Tennant leaving and just enjoy the show.

@Vulcaine7 That's twice now I've heard Matt Smith say the Doctor was "turned on" by the Idris/TARDIS.

@Clubpenguinvids01 Being an actor, it's simple. You just have to interpret the script, and he IS the doctor, he is the character now.
