  • MG-42 correct?

  • @HellViper594 Yes, firing 8mm Mauser ammunition.

  • These videos are great, i had a highschool principle from red wing who collected alot of military items.

  • @fullchoke001 That would be my buddy Ed. He retired as Principal and has a very nice collection of militaria.

  • hahahaha im preety sure a mp44/stg isnt a mg? .....but yeah good gun

  • so when is this happening again in 2010?

  • June or July at a private range. Are you in MN?

  • yes, just south of the cities

  • Send me a private message.

  • That's right 600 - 620 per minute. That's what the safety switch is for. That's mg 42. Someone found three of those in the cellar of a demolished building. Apparently they had been collected by an old WWII veteran, who was long time dead.

  • "olvo"

  • ummm i live in MN too. I would love to go to this...

  • AMERICA FUCK YEAH!!!

  • just a group needs... friends+ ww2 weapon's+ a car+ camera's= laughs 5 STARS!!!

  • Thats German power for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • w00t a car as goal

  • i know it is essentially impossible to buy one now because they are all gone, but when did you get it and how much did you pay? where do you get ammo?

it was really nice of you to let those other guys shoot it in your video.

  • The former owner was a collector who passed away, and friend of his helped the fellow's wife out by selling the gun collection. This gun cost me $20,000, and is worth twoce that now.

  • And how in the world did you get an MG42, that must have been a fortune if it is real. Is it an actual authentic bring-back one?

  • It is a vet bringback, it is original, and obviously it works. And yeah, it did cost a fortune, but I worked it off. And you know, it was WORTH IT.

  • How did a WW2 vet sneak a machine gun into the US?

  • No sneaking was necessary. Such guns were imported as war trophies with "bringback" papers issued to allow the transportation into the US. Most were later registered with the ATF when the laws changed to require registration.

  • Didn't know that!

Wish the same thing could happen to the Iraq vets today.

  • Yeah. We can't bring ANYTHING related back from Iraq, even a bayonet!

  • Was it different in the Gulf war?

I would want to bring back a golden AK, or a turban.

  • No, the Gulf War had the same restrictions.

  • Same with Nam?

I knew a vet that sneaked an entire crate of pinneaple grenades into the US, & his M16 with grenade launcher.

  • That guy would have the title "felon".

  • No, "mentally sick."

    Or had permanent shellshock.

  • off topic

have mg42 vid i need you to see .i need your help with why it blow up in my face ..ammo or lack of bolt bounce ....pm me

  • ???

  • this looks awesome, i live in bloomington MN wish i could go to this

  • (if you are 18 that is, or in company of a parent).

  • Very nice here... Darivsarchitectvs, I noticed some comments on your channel by the fellow with the German flags. He is a pest, posting on several sites. Don't bother to get into it with him. Also I will join here under my regular you tube link. Please ignore my "Friends" hookup here. I don't want to drag any arguments into your channel; you certainly don't need it. I intend to go solo, with Mercenary1967 to make a few points out there.... Regards.

  • Yeah, being a German WWII gun collector and reenactor attracts the fascist commentators. Our views and theirs are irreconcileable, and I usually end up blocking them after they talk shit.

  • At 1:28 is that guy holding and STG45?

  • He's holding an MP-43.

  • coolvideos man its really cool what you do im 17 but very into world war 2 and its weapons i think part of it makes me want to join the marines SEMPER FI! BTW DID YOU EVER SHOOT AN M4?

  • If you REALLY want to get this kind of hardware, do well in school and college and set yourself up for a good paying career. NO BS. I have never shot an M-4 (too weak). If you want to use the 5.56mm cartridge, use an AR-15 with a 20" barrel like Eugene Stoner intended it to be, to get the FULL velocity. Otherwise, stick to .30 cal! It kills what it hits THROUGH TREES.

  • im determined to becoming an officer in the marines after attendind navy rotc college and after earning my bachelors degree

  • Go for it! Good luck!!

  • where's FG 42?

  • YEAH? Why didn't YOU bring an FG-42 to our shooting event?

  • Because Minnesota is too long a driving distance to go to, it would of been fun to go to though!!

I was just joking, I know those things cost $150,000, having an STG 44 & a MG 42 is impressive enough

  • I know one fellow who has an FG-42, and he's been collecting for a few decades. Nice fellow too. You relaly don't shoot a gun that is THAT expensive. (hell, I'd to it though!)

  • Well, if I bought one, I would hang it up on my wall to impress people, & just clean it, it's VERY rare & historical, so I would just let it lay. It would be a blast to shoot though! There's a guy in California who still makes them believe it or not.

  • He still makes the FG-42?

  • Yep!

  • The Sturmgewehr is expensive, but it's not that expensive. They're about as much as a well used Mercedes Benz or BMW. The MG42 is I think more like $30,000 to 40,000 at today's going rate. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Kurt.

  • About right on the MG 42, but most are more expensive than that. I believe a STG 44 is around $10,000, but I'm not sure.

  • how are people legally aloud to do this? i wanna do something like this bad :(

  • Anyone over age 18 is allowed to do this in a location where local laws regarding projectile weapons allows it or on private land. Common sense with regard to safety applies,

  • okay thanks man! too bad im only 15 :( gotta wait 3 more years its been my dream to shoot something like this!

  • Its amazing that people around the world today are "still" using this weapon in combat.

  • The German Army still uses the MG-3 which is, for all intents and purposes, a copy of the MG42 chambered in 7.62x51 NATO from 8mm Mauser with a few minor improvements in terms of weight and buffering. So yeah, you pretty much are *still* using this weapon in combat in Afghanistan.

  • I loved it when you blew the car apart with the SKS and said "One shot, One kill!". That still has me laughing, Matt.

  • "One shot, one kill!" -- The sniper's motto. You should have seen the comment this COD kid left on one of my videos. He's like, "I'm sure it's illegal to display the swastika and the hammer and sickle in the United States." He kind of reminds me of the saying about liberals. "If ignorance is bliss, there must be a lot of happy liberals out there!"

  • Hehe.. sometimes the trolls are funny, sometimes just plain annoying. You notices earlier that that idiots who write bad or insulting comments have no videos of their own on YouTube.

  • I live in Canada so excuse me from any mistakes but I think if you have a Swastika up and someone asks you to take it down you have to, but as for sickle and Hammer its O.K. Am I right or wrong? I don't realy care cuz I don't intend to do this but I might as well know.

  • That may be so in Canada. But here in America, we have Amendments to the Constitution. Specifically, the 1st and 4th Amendments to privacy and freedom of speech apply to the display of these items. Theoretically speaking, if I had a 50 foot flagpole with a National Socialist flag or the Soviet flag displayed in my front yard, nobody can legally do anything about it. And that's the way, IMHO, that it should be in the United States. If anyone asks you to take it down you can say "get bent."

  • I don't know wether it's like that in Canada and I live here, frankly I couldn't care less, but I have no plans of setting up a Swastika or Sickle and Hammer in my backyard.

  • Frankly, neither do I. The swastika and hammer/sickle should not be displayed except for historical purposes. If they are displayed as a demonstration of agreement with what they stand for, they become offensive.

  • Yea a Swastika should only be displayed for historical accuracy or religous reasons (the Swastika used to rotate to the right and was a symbol of good luck). However the Sickle and Hammer is not that bad as Communist ideolgy only rascist cons are the abolishment of religion (not specific races just religion abroad) and free speech and universal suffrage.

  • Not that bad, huh? try living in Poland like my father's family does. Communism and fascism share one attribute: tyranny.

  • I thought Suleski was an Irish name.

  • Everyone's a freekin' comedian! :)

  • Sorry, I couldn't resist.

  • Katyn Massacre of 1940, that's all I'm going to say.

  • Don't worry, I'm not a supporter of any governments poltics or Polititions, and do infact no Cammunism uses the Secret Polise and Totalatarian systems however in all truth Communism was made to create a peaceful human utopia. A great idea that could have worked turned into just another overexagerated symbol of hate. The only reason it is considered bad is because time and again dictators are the most evil of people when they could potentialy do good.

  • Looks like fun....

  • that was fun ;D, 5*

  • My father has shot with such an MG during his service time, but with a post war version of the MG42 in cal .308

  • the car looks like swiss cheese after the shooting. Great demonstration gentlemen.

  • Thank you for watching our videos, DannyBGer.

  • nice!

  • GREAT VID
