@FalconCrestlover73 or you could just watch the intro to MK:Deception where Raiden is fighting the Deadly Alliance and loses. so if MK 5 is not canon, neither are 6 and 7. sure they have some inconsistencies here and there (Shao Khan dying then reappearing out of nowhere) . MK is notorious for that. But the main story has continuation. BTW, GT doesn't have that link up anymore, so I couldn't read it.

@FalconCrestlover73 of course Deadly Alliance is canon. Liu Kang was actually killed. That's why he came back as a zombie in Armageddon. that's when the creators realized how much they had fucked up the story line, so they went with an alternate time line with MK9.

On the contrary (and Kang is my fave MK kharacter as well) Liu Kang has had a LOT of games where he is in the spotlight (he's been the winner/champion of the first 4 games and he's had a game devoted to him and Kung Lao in MKSM).

I was pissed when they killed him at first but when they brought him back as a zombie imo it made him badASS. He wasn't so "goody two shoe" anymore. He had some dark elements to his character. Imo Zombie Kang is Liu Kang as a badass.

And he may not be in the spotlight anymore but Kang fans have had it good for YEARS. I feel it's only right that Kang gets a break from being the main hero. At least he's still around as a badass Gung Fu Zombie. He's much more brutal, violent, and vicious. Someday they'll give Kang back his mortal form but until then Zombie Kang is just as good in different ways.

Now NRS killing off Liu Kang in the new MK9 DOES f'ing piss me off badly. MK9's story fails on so many levels.
