  • this is beatiful.

  • That's one fucking epic encore.

  • Lot of complaints... I don't like this SFF either but I think McCartney's slightly better than Lennon. Is there a general consensus about who's better or are they equals?? Here's some trivia: Bryan Adams has his own window (a real window) at our local hotel. When McCartney comes, he has his own floor. I don't know where Will and Kate stayed. lol

  • @MrAzdaz Boo

  • @ST0MP0 hey fuck face, troll putz, shut the fuck up. if thats how you feel, your not human. die

  • @ST0MP0 why are you here watching this vid then? just doin' a little mid-afternoon trolling you attention starved little fkr?

  • This just shows you how hard it is to sing a John Lennon song if you're not named, John Lennon.

  • @Sambarre yeah and it shows that even god McCartney isnt capable of it

  • @Sambarre paul obviously just wanted to make a tribute not to be better than

  • I think this sucks but i do like that he tried to do something nice for John

  • Shame it's so god damned 80's but I'm really appreciating the sentiment, bless John.

  • its a drag

  • This makes me want to cry i swear i have watched this 200 times I love you so much John thanks you for giving us music I miss you John and i love you Paul.

  • RIP John Lennon we will never forget you and all the good music you gave us

  • Oh my goodness. This was such a powerful performance. Its truly amazing that two guys can have that big of an impact on the entire world. What you did here to commemorate the life of your best friend was remarkable, Paul. Neither one of you will ever be forgotten. This was so moving that I actually cried. Long live Paul, and Rest In PEACE, John. <3

  • Strawberryberry fields era especial para Lennon por su infancia. Y nunca había visto a Paul cantar Give peace a chance.Bonito detalle de Paul con su hermano del alma John Lennon.

  • Paul, bless you for your homage to John.. You are a great man....

  • okay lets give a round of applauce for Paul he loved John thank you Paul.

  • I think Paul knows everything about John : )

  • BEATLES <3

  • Know your Beatles history. Paul didn't write these songs. They listed all songs as Lennon/McCartney no matter who wrote them. They collaborated on very few in all honesty. We can Work it out and A Day in the Life being two that I can think of off hand, but both wrote their separate parts and combined them into one song.

  • paul helped write the song..so hows it a tribute?

  • @newt0830 Paul didnt help lennon writting Strawberry Fields, anyway, you can see those songs as beatles songs but the members of a group really knows when a song is made by one of them

  • this is in liverpool kings dock 1990 i was there great concert

  • anyone know what year this is from??

  • wow that is a sea of people man

  • OMG THE AUDIENCE IS JUST AMAZING

  • Thats your hair is it paul?

  • @TheUpperRoom477 Well it obviously is his hair, what have you got missing?

  • @weedandcapdude wtf?! ok so Paul McCartney is alive ur just trying to get attention, and sadly u got it from me but i couldnt let it go

  • @weedandcapdude conspiracy trolls gunna conspire.

  • @weedandcapdude Oh stop with that already.

  • @weedandcapdude i can tell your not a real beatles fan if you cant pick out all the little mistakes in that video dude.

  • Yea Linda McCartney was also there

  • John would've hated the version of strawberry field forever.

  • @azerskater i think we wont know

  • @xfearXkingx Listen to it dude. That's exactly how John Lennon's style of music was...not.

  • 15 people scare me from living in these times. I promise you they can kill someone with not raising their pulse a beat.

  • This is beautuful. My tears are falling, it's just so touching to see him singing these songs. Long life The Beatles!

  • @zaanhoolie Best and funniest comment on you tube ever. Thanks for making me laugh. And mind those peas. Cheers

  • Daaaamn! How many people were there?? That looks like a huge sea of people!

Could you imagine though how this medley could have sounded if it had just been Paul and his piano? It could have been so much more touching if they had taken out all the lame synthesizer nonsense and accompaniment.

  • All we are sayiiiiiiiiing, is give peace a chaaaance!

  • You guys were so different in so many ways that you were the perfect compliment to each other...Thanks Paul for being so very nice to a friend who cared for his a friend in the end..and I cry too when I hear "Beautiful boy"...long live the Beatles!! Rock on!

  • You guys were so different in so many ways that you were the perfect compliment to each other...Thanks Paul for being so very nice to a friend who cared for you as well in the end..and I cry too when I hear "Beautiful boy"...long live the Beatles!!

  • Paul it GREAT and he homages the GREAT John Lennon

  • Paul is the only one who can make a tribut to jhon...they are two PRINCES!! Sweet melancholy! He is a GENIUS!

  • So sad yet awesome! Beatles Forever!

  • we love you paul!!!!

  • i hate to say this, but he really messed up the songs. he ruined the feeling in the songs.

  • @esenozbay you're crazy.he did a great job.

  • @esenozbay you are so wrong man

  • @fuugon everybody has their own opinion. i like the original songs better. no offence :)

  • No matter how strained things may have gotten between Lennon & McCartney after the breakup of the Beatles, my bet is that the love and respect they had for each other would have come back full circle. It's sad that they both never had that chance.

  • Paul, you are the most beautiful thing ever..

  • Bought a tear to my eye.

  • EPIC SINGING BETTER THAN THAT LADY MADDONA IN JOOLS HOLLAND epic music but almost wrong script. 5/5 wait he stole Help!

  • EPIC SINGING BETTER THAN THAT LADY MADDONA IN JOOLS HOLLAND epic music but almost wrong script. 5/5

  • Não são apenas músicas cantadas por um dos melhores para um dos melhores, são hinos, são históricos, que ninguém nunca vai esquecer. The Beatles forever! John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison forever!

  • Is there a love like fucking hell button?

  • Epic mullet

  • holy shit look at this massive crowd!

  • pitroller88, ditto...no one, and I mean no one can ever come close to what these guys were all about, their genius and the impact and influence they had on EVERYONE who followed them. Greatest rock band ever. We shall never see it again.

  • Even Paul singing these songs can't bring back what it was back then. Those years were the greatest-greatest in my life anyway-never to be repeated. Give Peace a chance-today.

  • @pillroller88 I seriously doubt he was trying to "bring back what it was"....it's a tribute to a great friend of his.

  • "living is easy with eyes closed, missunderstanding all you see"...priceless

  • Give Peace a Chance...

  • gotta love the 80's

    god damn hahahaha

  • the part when its showing the crowd of people singing give peace a chance gave me the chillls.

  • Look at that huge sea of people! F'in amazing!!!

  • Friendship is strong. What a great audience!!

  • when was this?

  • @ihiplovehop I think Liverpool if i recall him talking about it

  • @2Guys1Contour you're right....early 1990s actually...

  • this is making me all sad:( i love this song and u can only imagine how paul felt singing this tribute. my eyes are getting all watery...

  • love you paul McCartney

  • 9 yrs George is gone in Nov. and 30 years for JOHN - mindblowing how the time has passed. It feels like yesterday to me.

  • its so sad that john lennon is dead he was amazing..he will always be remembered..i listen to his music all the time he is so inspirational

  • I always wanted to see this tribute in full. Thanks so much.

  • what a great songs, lennon was a genius

  • what a lot of great songs, lennon was a genius

  • Poor Paul and his Obama Issue....enough to make ya vomit.

  • Wow..this really makes me cry....beautiful....Happy birthday John...

  • I think it's so thoughtful that Paul performed some of the songs that seemed to mean the most to John, himself. I think he put a lot of consideration into that selection - a pure act of respect to a friend he loved so dearly

  • @woojaffa fack yu

  • @TheCkembar was that really necessary?

  • @woojaffa well said mate

  • Great 80's drum rig. How high would you like your cymbals? Very high!

  • what concert was this. was it wembly

  • HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Oh that's just amazing.

He even does Help! in the original tempo.

  • @joethulhuz ha punn

  • @awhofan1 That was a pun?

  • @joethulhuz u said he doesnt need any help while he was singing help

  • @awhofan1 What I meant was that Help! was written at a slower tempo than recorded. He performed it at the tempo it was written.

  • OMG im speechless

i am obsessed with the beatles,

but this just made me like them even better

I LOVE PAUL, GEORGE, JOHN AND RINGO!!!!!!!!

  • @WannaPieceOfMe5 ikr!!!!!

  • man...this made me cry..hah! gotta love paul mccartney!

  • My favourite beatles song...

  • @somaditya75 which one?

  • Comment removed

  • i couldnt tell if it was strawberry fields at first

  • i like how he changed up the lyrics.. it's paul -- he can do whatever the fuck he wants.

  • Paul, still such a goof.

  • 5:36 thats Paul McCartney!!!!!

  • the intro is quite bad. but it's really good

  • omg ... the 80s really fucked up that song

  • @clickswitchh and paul's hair

  • @clickswitchh And here I thought our generation fucked up music for good :\

  • @clickswitchh The 80s were so shit, even the beatles weren't immune.

  • @clickswitchh Another critic with no credentials trying to sound relevant to no avail. Don't quit your day job. What you just witnessed was a "tribute" by a friend to a friend, get a life, this was not meant to be a re-release, it's "tribute", just listen, appreciate it and consider yourself lucky to have had these great musicians performing in our lifetime.

  • As Paul is bowing and pointing in the air to John, the crowd spontaneously continues singing "Give Peace a Chance"--which obviously makes Paul smile broadly as he plays the piano a bit more.

  • holy shit its Dan Akroid, 14 seconds in the video!

  • MEGA MULLET HE CAN ROCK THE SHIT OF THAT THING!

  • HAHA retro 80s sound

  • I'm getting a tatoo saying "Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see."

  • @tonyohnoyoudidnt I think I'm gonna still your idea. Haha

  • @HalfBlooodPrincess AWSOME XD

  • @tonyohnoyoudidnt good for you! I thought of that too but I'm not sure if I can bear the pain. And if I won't be bothered with it, 20 years from now ;)

    Where are you getting this?

  • @ladybird2500 Where are my getting what? The idea? I just thought of it.

  • Oh Happy Feeling. If we had any wisdom we would hero worship those who cause us pain. "For God deemed as punishment that men should grow their sustenance from the ground only in the pain of their labor." It's just the break-up of a rock and roll band. It's not like The Beatles are bigger than Jesus Chirst. Jesus ransomed himself for us - so that our sins can be forgiven by an insulted God. Repent of your sins for The Kingdom of God is close at hand.

  • @rolandrog dude wtf are u talking about? Are you alright? haha

  • @rolandrog One small flaw to your argument. There is no God.

  • @familydylan1 Well if there is, he wouldn't be very happy with your choice of language and your lack of understanding of different beliefs.

  • Then Talent dominated. " What have Done from me lately" syndrome ruled. But still, JL gave them per centage of writing credits (which at the time Mac wouldn't have done without JL's persuasion). What does this all mean. Choose to live in poverty and you will love.

  • Just goes to show you how Mac and Johnny complement each other. Neither can replace the other and in the eariler days, each motivated each other (although later competively). Fame and fortune ruin friendships. In the very early days, they learned from each other and needed each other. George was the best and most learned guitar player of them all in the beginning.

  • Why no comments? I love that Paul cannot sing JL. You must have pain to give the proper depth to JL songs. Accurate notes is one thing, technique is one thing, but overtones is another. You have to be deep and infinite to sing properly JL songs. Mother, you had me; but I didn't have you. Father, you left me; but, I didn't leave you.

  • Early 90's. 93?

  • @CanaKahuna I do believe this is in 93. Not sure if this is from the Albert Dock appearance just before he did this at Knebworth but pretty sure it is 1993.

  • @WeGloss I'm the same age and have to same feelings as you... I just hope to god that no kne forgets what a wonderful person John is. When I meet someone who doesnt like The Beatles I just stare and scratch my head.

I dont want to be alive when either Paul or Ringo dies. I don't even want to think about that.

  • @hayjude99 me neither! It breaks my heart to a point beyond comprehension. That will be the day the music died. And my soul too.

  • I could not love this man more. Take it away, Paul. :D

  • i believe its sometime in the 1980's haha

  • @CGiordano464 judging by the mullet, I'd say you're right

  • This made me cry :) Happy tears :D Paul McCartney may you and Ringo live long and rock hard!! RIP JOHN AND GEORGE!!!!

  • I really got tears in my eyes... I feel so sad when I see this, even when it's beautiful and great of him. How could anybody ever forget the Beatles? I'm just fifteen and I love them.

  • All John wanted was Peace & love-so let's help make that wish come true by not arguing and stuff, especialy on songs about peace..GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!

  • No perhaps not musically the best tribute by P Mc for J L, but just try Please Please Me

  • he completely butchered this song wow

  • He turned the song into a dirge :O

    Ugh.

  • its funny how i miss them more now than ever....very emotional over the last song. thanks for the memories

  • i am madly in love with all the beatles and i adore both john and paul.

i just hate that paul played israel cuz its the total opposite of 'give peace a chance' and all what peace stands for
