  • Paul whit Joe's guitar:)

  • 2 guys will be shooted down on the pavement

  • who plays organ ?

  • Was the singer drunk when this was recorded? Sounds awful...

  • @SuicideOfMine Its called singing for 4 hours and getting tired.

  • @Newt0rz Maybe playing for 4 hours ;) it's Paul Simonon, he's the bassist, not the singer of band. He always sings this song (he wrote it and he sang it on the album, too). And who cares if he's not very good at singing? I know I don't :)

  • @Newt0rz It's called a shy bass player who's not a good singer... And it's a punk band so it doesn't really matter... lyrics are more far important than the singing

  • OOH OHH the guns of Tottenham.

the fascist pigs never stopped murdering us!

  • 30 years laters, the guns of Brixton are back to London.

  • It would be the oppressive minded politicians & law enforcement officials (like that of 1978 Brixton) that would dislike this brilliant piece of music.

  • WTF?!?! Who disliked this great piece of music?!?!

  • It's really cool because Joe Strummer and Paul Simonon would switch instruments. Paul didnt feel comfortable singing the song and playing the bass line.

  • Listen the Polish version: /watch?v=OKtlwKU5ht8

  • 0 dislikes speaks for itself.

  • i listened to this, and when it finished my cat walked across my laptop and pressed the replay button. my cat apparently has good taste in music.

  • Love the bass! But Mick sounds extra-weird.

  • what's your name, what's number I would like to get to know you

  • the bass melody reminds me of the bass sample used by cypress hill in their "what's your name" song.. am i right?

  • @zougras Yeah, they sampled Guns of Brixton. I actually heard that song the other day. It was pretty cool.

  • @KingLeon1daz Same as MIA sampled Straight to Hell.

  • @KingLeon1daz cry.

  • @zougras Yea Tim Armstrong from rancid featured in there video "whats your name/number" And seeing as how Joe Strummer was one of tims biggest inspirations it gave him a chance to play it even if it was for a complete different genre/song lol Though lets face it - Guns of Brixton can never be beaten ;)
