Hi Marcelo. Thanks for letting me know. I'm going to make more clips soon and most likely, will re-record this. The reed on this organ sounds much better live than it does on this recording. I'm using, actually, a small camera that doesn't have all the fancy adjustments for audio and visual adjustments.
I've been remiss in practicing these past few weeks, so back on the organ bench I go starting January 2nd. All the best to you! Paul
I liked the "If thou but suffer" one better of these two. For some reason the reed stop that you used on the first one seemed a bit off. But, I've always loved "If Thou But Suffer" anyway.
You know, your are right. Reed sounds like a hornet trapped in a bee's nest on the recording. Sounds much better live in the room. I may re-record this tomorrow using a different registration!
Wonderful performances

Excellent playing. I think Schlickers are a challenge to record under any circumstances. Is the specification posted somewhere?

Hi, Paul!
Here I leave to you to compare the registration you employed with the one I do for the first of these two chorale preludes:
Bourdon or Coppelflöte 8' + Nasat 2 2/3' (or 1 1/3') or Sifflöte 1', in any of the three cases with Tremulant doux.
Regards from Brazil

Perhaps I'm just not so picky, but I enjoyed both of them! If the reed sounds like a trapped hornet, at least it's a musical hornet!
