your all wrong. When a cat is "crying or truely weeping", say for the loss of another cat, they will make a constant high/low whine

in low tone. This is a signal to other cats that it is in mourning. Some other cats who are compassionate will come up and lick the mourning cat and perhaps offer a paw upon the body of the mourning cat as a sign of commaraderie.
