  • he is so not good lol works like a robot.

  • @tkdleeds its got to be like a picture.

  • @tkdleeds Show us what it SHOULD look like then..........Didn't think so...

  • i know its probably just him being in the OMFG im at the worlds!! mindset but he needs to relax! everything else was perfect!

  • This is a nice pattern. My issue with the modern ITF is one of disappointment. When TKD and ITF were first coming into their own, one of its shining attributes was that it emphasized natural movement, unlike the stiff rigidity of its predecessors (karate). However, modern ITF practitioners now move more roboticly than karate practitioners. They work so hard and do so many awkward mechanics just to achieve a sine wave, &c. I think the ITF TKD of the late 70's early 80's was the pinnacle.

  • @droidsURlooking4 At the same time though, doing it in a controlled precise manner such as modern ITF does helps to develop the proper strength and coordination (neural pathways) that can then be applied through other drills that use more natural movement. So I see value in both and that if someone were to train only one exclusively, they would be limiting their training.

  • AWESOME! Greetings from Scotland

    Taekwon

  • hacia mucho que no veia un buen tul en youtube, felicitaciones!!!

    taekwon!!

  • TKD patterns are sort of one technique at a time...describing it would be sort of robotic....thats how all the patterns are.

not like karate or kung fu..or pretty much every other martial art, thats kind of flowy, wavy continuous...thats just not how ITF TKD does it..(i am not sure about other kinds of taekwon-do..eg WTF)

  • ITF is very old skool and work around the roots of TKD. Moves are defined with focus and power. When you bring in the flowy bit you find that the moves can be less defined and lose power as the person anticipates the next move. I do ITF and the BB patterns are hard and when they are done right they look very sharp and focused.

  • very nice pattern, great kicker

  • He seems to be leaving quite the break in between his individual moves. Needs more flow. But very sharp moves and he flies like a bird on those kicks! Very nice.

  • It is supposed to flow you ass

  • @JPITFTKD

Flow like a butterfly sting, like a bee.

  • dude - i totally didn't understand the timing of that pattern.

  • watch my vid deadly tae kwon do master

  • The black blet patterns look kind of werid when you just start learning them

  • Too bad he and Mr. Suska could not have met in the finals.

  • Im with you on that one. It would have been one hell of a contest.

  • What Start Position Is That?? Very Good Pattern By The Way...=]

  • I think its official designation is "Parallel Ready Stance D" but don't quote me on the letter. It might even be "F". This being a

4th Dan pattern, it's 3 belts above me.

  • parallel stance with an x-backhand
