  • At first glance, it seems wrong for there to be a town inside a national park, but there's a couple of things to consider. first, the townsite was there before the park . It was called Siding 29, and mainly housed and supplied workers for the railway. Also, if it wasn't for the town, and the discovery of hotsprings nearby by 3 workers who lived there, there would be no Banff National Park. Stay crazy, Crazy Larry. Keep on rockin'.

  • Crazy Larry you rock. i met you back in april when i was on holiday in banff. your one amazing dude and truly inspiring

    a NATIONAL PARK.

Even in the US there are no towns in the middle of a National Park.

It totally sucks I thought I would see more animals and all there was were giftshops

Pretty place, to bad there is a town in the middle of the park.

  • There's some more scenic and wildlife shots in our Snow Plow Tour of Banff video on our channel.

Good point about Banff being in the park. For perspective, Banff is less than 5 square kilometers in a 6641 square kilometer park. Still lots of wildlife and nature to explore:)

  • it's not a town.... it's a city...

  • You're the man Crazy Larry.
