The first time I saw Cookie, he wolf-whistled at me (twice) and then spent the next several minutes flirting with me while preening his feathers, which he was clearly anxious that I should admire. All dirty old men should be so cute. Long may he live.

Sweet Cookie is the reason I now own 2 cockatoos....a Moluccan , age approx 50, and an Umbrella, age 14. They are a lot of work but a lot of joy as well.

@114156pg13 normal years. Some bird species, like Cookie's, can live up to 80 or 90 years. Unlike dogs, who for every year it ages 7 human years, birds go by just normal years :) Hope this helps!
