Isiah kept it real with his comments. Magic trippin fo real. His team would have beat the bulls? Didn't the bulls spank the lakers for their first championship. BODYBAG!
(My part II) Let's be real tho, The Boston Celtics of the late 50's and 60's hands down the greatest dynasty ever with 11 rings in 13 years including an 8 peat. Bill Russell is the greatest NBA player of all time with 11 rings in 13 years, and Bob Cousy and Russell one of the sickest duos with Sam Jones banking in 20 foot J's,. Russell was the greatest not because of fancy dunks but because of team work a humble attitude and superb defense.
I'm sitting back and hearing all this Jordan Vs. Pippen crap. Let's just be honest Jordan needed Pippen and Pippen needed MJ. Always remember that Basketball is a team sport. However Jordan "Never" won a playoff series without Scottie Pippen, but Pipppen won a handful of playoff series without MJ. Both was great and fun to watch and don't forget sharp shooting contributions of hodges, paxson & BJ Armstrong and the team workhorses Horace Grant & Cliff Livingston.
Scottie was a welder and a gym manager he had Destiny Desire and Will to make top 5th pick in NBA draft. great numbers coming out of college how could MJ made him.MJ never won a playoff series until SP arrived. MJ had played 3 yrs with other vets and did nothing with the team but racked up individual goals. What SP brought was unselfishness and intelligence the ball was taken out of MJ hands and put in SP hands to control the offense,1st point forward. Both men had a desire, success. Achieved it.
Instead of Wilt chamberlin fuckin 22,000 people you would think michael jordan fucked 22,000 people because every youtube video of basketball people ride his dick sooooooooo hard
This is Micheal Jordan at his best in his prime, nobody in the NBA had an answer for MJ. Picture Kobe now, 1000 times better. JORDAN WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST EVER, NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pippen the ultimate role player. Never ever had it in him to be the MAN! Him being the man for a season in a half could not handle it and self distructed in the playoffs when he refused to participate in the final play in game 3 of the 2nd round against the Knicks. The following season Michael had to bail his sorry behind out. After '98 its was proven no all-star appearances and spectacular flame outs with the Rockets, Blazers, and Bulls again! He should be impeached from 50 greatest.
Pippen finished 3rd in MVP voting the year Jordan left. He also was only one of five players to lead his team in every major statistical category. The bulls won 57 games that year, and would have made it to the finals if it wasn't for the phantom foul on hubert davis and the knicks. Remember, the knicks went 7 games with the bulls year before, even with michael.
I totally agree with Magic's interview and its proven now that the Bulls were just a fad of the 90's and thats it. Pippen the second fiddle to Jordan was a nobody and proved that when he failed in Michael's 1st retirement and his stints with Houston, Portland, and his pathetic return to the baby Bulls. Pippen always needed Jordan. The 80's Lakers, '83 76ers, 80's Celtics, 2000's Lakers would beat the Bulls.
I have more respect for Bird because he was slow, kinda chunky, and just a regular guy with not much athletic talent. I think we can all relate to Bird in terms of ability than we could Michael Jordan. Because take away Jordan's athletic ability, what do you have? You have Sedale Threatte (sp?). I mean, what does he have outside of being able to run fast or jump high? Don't say he was that way from 1996-1998 because he wasn't. And yes, I'm a black guy, so there. Jordan was average at best.
Because Pippen didn't become a great player until 1993-94. Prior to the 1994 season, Scottie Pippen was Jordan's bell-boy and did whatever Mike wanted... after the headache (Jordan) left, Pippen could be himself and come out of his shell and then he became a much better player because he was allowed to be himself instead of catoring to Jordan. Michael Jordan was a great player but he was a terrible teammate and a female dog to work with and he could've done a lot more to better his team earlier.
Pippen was in transition of becoming a great player prior to that season; however, saying that he was Jordan's bell-boy is way too much. He was one of a kind back in those days. A small forward with length, quickness, height, and defensive that was unmatched for his position on the court in his era. You have to understand Jordan, just like all other great players have to go through failures and pains to reach the top. Jordan hand to learn to be a leader. His journey was complete in 1991.
Pippen was Jordan's bell-boy. If Pippen were on another team he'd be a guy who wouldn't make the All-Star team at all. Plus, Pippen wouldn't even be able to be on the Olympic Team if it weren't for Jordan in 1992. Don't even tell me that Pippen did anything in his career based upon his own ability or talent - everything Pippen had as far as success is due to Jordan. I mean come on? How can you see anything else? Jordan never needed anyone to win, he had to beat his teammates into shape to win.
I loved this interview with Magic and Isiah. To me I think Magic was being a little bias because he didn't 3-peat and he knew if Michael had 3-peated Michael would always have that on him. Isiah had a good point that no one really knew how to stop Michael. What sets Michael apart is his endurance, it's off the charts

Michael Jordan's strength & conditioning was unbelievable. When it comes to Jordan's stamina & energy level, he was heads above the rest.

It's amazing how so many people even back then underestimated Scottie Pippen.
