Yeah, the Agiles are a hell of a deal, especially the AL-3000. You buy one of those, and then throw in a set of decent PAF copies, and you'll have a guitar that will smoke a $2000 Les Paul for under $600 (Can you even get a Standard for that price? Maybe the Classic). My only issue with Agiles is, they are known to be quite-heavy, even for a LP. That's what I love about my Dean Evo SS (w/ Duncan Seth Lovers). It's made of Honduras mahogany, which is lighter than African mahogany. Love my Dean.
@gangtwanger The weight of Agiles, 10 pounds is fairly close to the old or non-chambered LP's. They are usually in the 8-10 pound range. I am a big guy so I don't personally mind the weight. May be an issue for some people but, I think most people will adjust to the weight after a little bit. After all, we are talking about a difference of less than 5 pounds between other guitars!
@bbnatedogg Yeah, and I think most Standards are 2,300 $ plus tax or shipping or whatever. Total rip off! I have the Gibson LP Studio Faded, which is the only Gibson LP that is not overpriced in my opinion. Plus I got it online new for a deal. You could make a case that the regular Gibson LP Studios aren't really overpriced but, with the rest of the Gibson line you are paying a huge mark up simply for the Gibson name.
great playin, great guitar! im definetely getting a 3000, although my 2000 is fine. but i think im gonna get it in tobacco sunburst because everyone has a les paul in cherry sunburst.
Hey, thanks for the compliment and checking out the video. The CSB's lok really nice in person. I was bummed - being a lefty we don't get the same selection of finishes that you all get. I really wanted a TS too - go for it, they are beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the CSB is.
Thanks so much for the compliment. I was very hesitant in buying an Agile as well, I thought they were just another knock-off brand that looked good in a picture and on a spec sheet, but in practice was inferior. But after spending time on the Agile forum and seeing the reviews, talking with owners, I decided to give it a shot. Well, I have three Agile's now and I really think they are a terrific guitars.
"And this is why I will be buying an agile 3000 da da da da" I keep singing that....I want one really bad now!
