  • not bad .................for a white boy ! : )

  • im using butter, should i melt it first.

    good tutorial by the way

  • @primax2552 You don't need to melt it, but you should probably soften it. Melted butter would work, too, but it's an unnecessary step. You can soften it either by letting it sit out at room temperature for a while, or by microwaving it for five to ten seconds at a time. You probably knew that, though.

    Thanks for watching!

  • awesome i'm going to make these tonight!

  • Any eggs, thouh I haven't watch the whole video yet

  • @zeusycali Nope, they are egg-free. They're totally vegan, in fact, unless you choose to make them with lard or butter or something.

  • @dsjwhatnot Your recipe is the best but mine turned out to be a roti.

  • This is the best tutorial ivs seen yet Thx

  • @Mightypitbull65 Thanks! I'm glad to hear it.

  • The meager price of a tortilla press is reimbursed by your first batch of 'tillas.

Stop using soap and scour on that gorgeous cast iron skillet! There should be an eighth to a quarter inch of black food tar built up to prevent sticking.

  • @iancorey You're right. I really should spring for a tortilla press. I just bought a pasta machine, though, so I'm trying to space my kitchen gadget acquisitions.

I don't use soap on the pan, but I do scrub it. I had just been wiping it out most of the time with a damp cloth, but a few months ago it got some sticky glaze scorched to the bottom, and nothing but scrubbing and a little soap would remove it. I should be ashamed. It's a family pan. I've been trying to build it back up ever since.

  • @dsjwhatnot When my loofah plants bloom, I'll send you a special skillet loofah for your kitchen – less abrasive and sink-o-degradable.

  • @iancorey That would be fantastic. I hadn't even considered growing my own loofahs. I might have to try that.

  • Not bad. Ever tried pressing them under the bottom of a dinner plate instead of or in combination with rolling them? They end up perfectly round and all the same size that way.

  • @dhaddox I have not tried that with flour tortillas, but I did try it the one time I tried to make corn tortillas. I'll have to try that next time I make them for company.

  • nice
