We treat this Earth like an open sewer - a feedlot. Our human biomass in sheer weight is more than any other time in history. And the equation must balance out. In order to survive, we must keep consuming. And there is only so much to consume. I'm really ashamed to call myself human when we've all done so much to overpopulate and destroy other life. Few people saw the population bomb coming, but nobody listened - all because people wanted their 'god given right' to have plenty of kids.

What do you all have against, driving a car that uses less gas, or replacing your windows in your home to use less energy. Why not use less oil? But gas prices aren't caused by "global warming". As far as more extreme weather, the basics of meteorology are that it is temperature *differences* that cause most weather events. If temperatures go up on the whole planet, there will be *less* temperature differences, therefore, fewer strong storms.

It doesn't mean that temps in Russia will rise the same as they do in Florida. Every region will be affected differently (ie. more rain in Bangladesh, dryer temps in Australia..as an example. As for gas prices, they are going up because global oil demand is now outstripping global oil production.
