  • 

  • OmG GurlFriend tis brought BacK sweet NEwOrLeaNs memories of Going To da SeCond Line ParaDe.. Yez nDeed.. Yo Hair is BeauTeeFul... SenDin U AbunDance Blessings I now live n VA..

  • Very informative sista, by the way what's the name of the song that you used through out the video?

  • thanks for this demo. Looks like a winner I will try it for my hair.

  • Wow! You're from Thibodaux! I'm originally from New Iberia, LA myself. I don't know if you're familiar with the area or not. I don't live there anymore, but I have plenty of family out there. Looking at this video reminded me about all the parades I use to go to back when I was kid. LOL!

  • Thibodaux is the place where my father's people are from. You know any Richard's Darn small world ..I knew I liked your channel when I hear the music.

  • My sista is that Nawlin I hear in the back ground, my people are from a place next to Houma are you from there and the twist look very nice.

  • WHAT SONG IS THAT?

  • Whoop I'm around your way these days...may run into ya!! Lol

  • i love the music. you got me over here second lining and shaking a leg. loved the video keep it coming.

  • just want to say this music is sooooo COOL! as well as the gel lol

  • sooooooooooo preTtY! :)

  • This is a very nice flaxseed gel tutorial.

  • pretty woman!!!

    greeting from germany

  • super cute braid out!!!

i've been looking for a good gel to use on my hair maybe i'll try this, i like the idea of using something i make myself versus buying it manufactured. thanks for sharing! most videos show it in mass quantities. i like yours for one time use =D

  • What exactly is Flaxseed good for on the hair.

  • it a natural styling aid .. just like the commercial gels

  • @williamsivy also....flax seeds are a good source of omega three fatty acids which help promote hair growth among many other benefits...i've already been taking fish oil supplements internally AND GOTTEN GREAT RESULTS, i imagine that the omega 3 fatty acids in flax seed, when used as a gel, can benefit your hair even when used externally simply because it is penetrating the cells in your scalp.....

  • Does is have to flax seed ?

Can it be flax seed meal? I noticed when I cook with flax seed meal, it forms a gel just by letting it sit in water so I would not have to cook it.

  • I actually tried the meal and it had a hard time straining it, i had a whole lot of them seeds in my hair.

  • cheese cloth is far more porous. I tried straining flax gel though muslin recently and it far too tightly woven.

  • YES! Some practical information that I can use! This is right up my ally. Something I can prepare right in my dorm room. I am coming up on my 4th month of transition!

  • thank u. I tried to be very detailed. Do check out Bluemolases..she was the inspiration for this experiment

  • Hey! I love this so much! do you still use flax seed? if you dont why not?

  • i haven't since this vid. I have so many products that im trying to demo:)

  • Comment removed

  • Five stars!

  • I love how this turned out I would have just pinned some of the front out of your face and let it hang down in the back

  • Thanks for the suggestion. I did another braid out vid. I like the outcome 10x better.

  • good idea with the panty hose. i always struggle to separate the flaxseeds from the gel. lol thanks! great vid, too.

  • you are welcome Doll

  • You can also use a piece of cheesecloth! That works really well too :)

  • Can you use muslin cloth?

  • Honestly i don't know, i have never used it before. Just as long as what you use will allow the liquid to go through without getting any seeds in it. Cheesecloth works really well and i like it better than the strainer. Sorry i couldn't help more!

  • i read that cheesecloth and a muslim cloth are the same thing

  • @cherri7

    muslin...

  • @imabytch4real Thanks.I made a mistake lol.

  • I love the music. I'll have to try this gel!! Great video girl!!

  • That is the song that I wake up to every morning. Love it!

  • What is the name of the song in this video? I love it.

  • i tried flaxseed gel before but it flaked up. i think i may try it again but will apply a cream moisturizer to my hair like shea butter or oyin whipped pudding first.

  • Give it another shot:) My hair really liked it. Just massage it in a lil better. Let me know how it worked. k
