I have a bootleg cart of this game that works on a Nomad/Genesis without a converter. I'd like to track down the Sega Ages version though.

CONTRA III was the Daddy until the DSes CONTRA 4 which seems to have slipped under the radar, it wasn't even released in the UK, I had to get it on import, absolutely ridiculous, have you played it? It's amazing.

Haha! I know I will be adding this game to my collection in the near future. It is a game that is timeless in terms of gameplay and design. Just look at how great the graphics look! Treasure should have really capitalized on the superb game by releasing it in the west!

Its really too bad we did'nt get this game. I think Treasure should develop ALL videogames based off of American, Canadian, European and Australian cartoon, movie, toy, and comic book franchises.
