Although John McCain may think that he's extremely qualified to make the decisions of allowing all gun control, why don't we let the mayors and such of the towns decide? They are the ones who deal with crime on a local basis and know what's really going on. It is not right for a felon to be able to get out of jail (after serving for gun-related crimes) and but more guns to commit more crimes. It is not right for over 500 children to die a year due to gun-related accidents.

He didn't say that felons should be allowed to buy guns, he specifically said that felons should NOT be allowed to purchase guns, but that normal law-abiding Americans should have their second amendment rights protected. If you would have actually listened to what he said rather than thinking up what you were going to say to slam McCain then you would have realized that. On the issue of gun accidents, those are the result of poor education about firearms safety in schools and at home.

It is in the Constitution, end of story. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. How more clear can it be? Also, the private citizen owning a gun DETERS crime because it scares criminals. Banning guns does NOT affect criminals. I should know. You libs are idiots. good idea, the guns are the problem. not the quality of life of the people there. their education. the terrible legal system. its the guns. its not that many people are raised in violent poor situations, its the guns. forget that stuff, its the guns. even without guns, how many beatings happen in new york? i'm guessing the new york subway is known for its kind people, and safe atmosphere. i guess the criminals will adhere to the rules too. god bless them. they are a shining example to us.
