men's rg are divided into two one is japanese influence,and the other western influence, the japanese are more rough like this one shows, and try not to follow the women's Rg but the western influence try to follow women's rg.

Its different to womens rhythmic in that there's tumbling (whereas with womens there isnt) and less focus on flexibility

I am a fan of rhythmic gymnastics, and was wondering if there is men rhythmic gymnastics... Although i am a guy but non-sexist, i have to say that seriously, men gymnastics do not look appealing to me... and seriously, it is not as graceful and as elegant as the girls RG... Men show strength? well, maybe they can stay in artistic gymnastics, not in RG... anyway... good try guys :)

from what I've seen from Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics it's more like graceful martial arts with apparatus handling.

I've noticed European male Rhythmic Gymnasts doing the same things women do and it just doesn't work or look appealing to the eye.

Actually, I disagree with the previous posts. This IS rhythmic Gymnastics. Men's Rhythmic is NOT judged on flexibility as much as womans. It is typically judged on tumbling, strength, power, and-surprisingly-some martial skills.

The Men's Events are typically designed to show their strength while Women's events are designed to show flexibility. Thats why there's no men's balance beam or women's Pommel Horse Events.

Saying that this isn't rhythmic gymnastics because there are no supersplits is kind of like saying that what we saw the men do Aug. 13 isn't artistic gymnastics because there was no balance beam.

Men's RG and women's RG are a bit different, that's all.
