I just can not believe how such a small looking hit killed him. There have been larger accidents on the highway, and in this sport itself that that looked so much worse. This was a freak accident and it sucks that it happened.
I look for the interview in which Earnhardt refers to Dr. Hubbard, inventor or the HANS device as "That egghead professor from some damn Yankee university" The Damn Yankee University he was referring to was Michigan State University, the only professional research being done on the subject in the entire world. If it were not for the geographical location of this research facility or the birth place of it's inventor, the HANS device may have saved Earnhardt.
Some of you need to have some respect. No need to analyze every little word. Ever heard of metaphors. Just like American Pie, " the day the music died." We still have music but it was never the same after the plane infamous plane crash. C'mon. Just let people share their emotions without being crappy to each other.
If you know nothing bout Dale Sr., you should still give total respect to man of courage and bravery as he. Sr. would be rolling in his grave if he heard such slanderous talk about him and his life. Amen.
your a fag optimousmiky dont you ever disrespect dale sr. he was a legend and a hero to his son and many other nascar drivers and fans so dont you dare disrespect him
a lot of the safety features on tracks today came from dale sr. wreck. safer barriers, restraints, all that stuff came out of this wreck so they could make racing safer... that was a hard hit when he impacted the wall
