I've said it before: In english it is spelled Normandy, as you say, BUT in Swedish (and French, I believe) it IS spelled NORMANDIE. It is NOT a spelling mistake, just a different language.

it was supposed to be June 5th but because of a masive storm the invasion fleet which was ready for the order to begin crossing the channel was called back June 6th was the only day that was predicted to have the conditions thought nessesary to fasilitate each part of the invasion from the high level bombing to the paratroopers+ gliders and the ship based invasion. Thus Operation Overlord (D-Day) began on June 6, 1944

well..the beach was like 5 feet from the water to the stone. The Mg-42's made a great MG were 1 shots..umm..2 Higgens boats..the germans had old 1700's muskets or w\e and green t-shirts..alot of blood..to much..other then that..GREAT lol
