no, I like to paint to med wet coats.

Enamel is a very thick paint so it should lay out nice as long as your prep is good. Don't forget to use wax and grease remover on the body before you paint.

you can also just do 2 med wet coats. You may want to spray a sealer too.

i would like to know how to paint with 2 colors....for example, if you want a big "v" in the center of the hood of a car, but a different color from the rest of the hood. If you paint the primered hood with the color of the "v" first then tape off the "v" and spray the rest of the hood in a different color, how and when do you remove the tape, and how do you get rid of the ridge where the tape was before you clear coat it?

i want to paint my truck Flat black .. i seen people do it with spray paint cans but always comes out like shit ... so i want to do it with a spray gun ...

what i want to know .. is can i spray right over the gloss paint i have already? and can i paint over chrome?... thanks for your help

Hey!,

Yes you need to sand with about 600 -800 grit. You can get professional flat colors at the auto paint shop. Ive painted a few flat cars and they come out nice!, just scuff chrome and prime with epoxy then watersand 600 then paint flat over.

30 Gal at least 1.5 hp make sure to use a water filter at the tank and at your gun!

as long as your not doing it as a business you may paint small parts at home...Check your local LAWS.

It depends on what type of paint and what colors... White is the cheapist while red is the most expensive unless you are shooting custom colors....white about 30 dollars a quart while red can be up to 100 a quart..
