  • GREAT BOYS!!!HERE WE GO!!!!!!YOU GOT IT!!! GROOVE!

  • Went to Jamaica High School at the same time. These guys used to practice their doo-wop up and down the halls! We were NYC champs in basketball, 1955.

  • all great doo wop band names starts with 'The" .. ?

  • when music was real

  • Killer Tenor Sax solo....

  • from back when America was GREAT!

  • As Dobie Gillis use to say, "Good stuff Maynard!"

  • Are any of the originals still singing. i just saw them on PBS.

  • i'm originally from the Bronx now living in San Francisco and I still remember every word of this song! Yikes.

  • This song is sooo good :)

  • Music like this always puts a smile on face. :)

  • The Bronx Tale was a Movie that was enjoyable to watch, but was filmed in Queens NY. That scenario in the Bx Tale was gone by 1975. As much as it may have been an enjoyable movie, that lifestyle has been long gone. That Area in the Bronx has changed so much , that it is scary. Albanians are the predominant group, and other cultures such as Puerto Ricans and Dominicans, and Mexicans, have changed the Ethnic makeup of that area. There are few Italians left.

  • @TheJoey1s who gives a shit?

  • I love you all! Just keep it going. I now have Sirius Radio in my car. My 10 year old only wants the 50's music station....He is a a godsend. He loves the oldies!

  • Please keep this music going

  • Absolutely. I grew up in the 80's. Things are different. I hope you can respect that. Things will never be the way they were. I am 41 years old , and I am trying to keep this great music going.

  • The more I listen , The more I love these guys.

  • Hehe; they see us strollin', they envyin'

  • I am a Bronx boy. Columbus High. I cant argue anything about this group. They were great.

  • @TheJoey1s Hi I see you mentioned you are a Bronx boy, nice. Have you watched 'A Bronx Tale'? Do you still live in the Bronx and is it still like it was in the movie 'A Bronx Tale'?

I am simply asking this as the move 'A Bronx Tale' is my all time favorite and after watching the movie I have been left fascinated, with the era of the movies setting '60s'. I will tell you now the movie brought tears to my eyes, if you haven't watched, it watch it please.

    Have a wonderful life.

  • Well I was just 16 when this one came out...just a little 16 year old baby, well, I was somebody's baby, you can bet....Thx 4 posting phyllis

  • That solo is too awesome.

  • I was at Jamaica High when the Cleftones formed. They were always practicing their arrangements behind the school at "the Wall" next to the track and athletic field. They always attracted a crowd of students to listen in.... they were great!!

  • pretty cool

  • This is a great oldie and a great song.

  • always had a thing for oldies they are catchy and happy :D

  • I remember this song when I was only about 8 years old...a 78rpm...it was a red label....Great song!

  • Great song!

  • @TYGAFOO . What do you mean by this?

  • Love this..This was one of my favorite groups as well as the song being one of my very favorites. The music bk in the 50"s had substance, meaning, feeling..trhe artists had true talent, integrity,faithfulness.....something that is missing from most music and singers today. A lot of there artists we never got to see, unlike today where you can see nothing ,as far as their assumed talent, but everything as far as their bodies and nasty words!! That's my say!!! Thx 4 posting this John1948Three

  • Niiiiiiiiiice!

  • Bethl71 yes it is!!

  • @gostanley Thank you!

  • rock n' roll never die! Love so so much vinile sound..!!

  • Hey, all you doowop experts----- Is this the orginal recording of this song????

  • @BethL71 Yeh man.

  • @BethL71 This is the original version recorded by the Cleftones, but somebody has played with it using home software to try to "improve" the sound and completely ruined it. Look elsewhere for another posting of it if you want to know how it really sounds.

  • no wonder alan freed liked them , the b side boys from the west side, oh yeah smokin

  • I love two things about this song. 1.) The "yee-ah" background vox and; 2.) that absolutely brilliant HONKin' sax solo.

  • This was my song back in 1955/1956.. I sung this song to all the Girls back then...

Hmmmm Those Memories will never leave you !

  • the only word for this group and the music is fantastic. they have style and class.real good feel good music.we need more doowaps man thanks for sharing this great music with us.

  • I love this doo-woop song i was a little boy at this time and i like danceing to this song!!!!!!!!!

  • Bandstand 16 I'm with you, songs back in the fifties were feel good songs they belonged to us the kids from the USA cities. Then out of no where came the half fag british singing I want to hold your hand, I bought that record just so I could break it.Todays kids got rap singing I would love for for these groups to bring back doowop music.I know they could because the black groups started it all.

  • I use to sing this at least 3times a week back in 1955... You're My Loving Baby"

    ;-)

  • i wanna dance. NOW :D

  • @TheLouwee23 Me to, I hear you!!

  • Glad someone agrees with me!!!!!!!

  • I agreed with you the minute this song played.. One of my best songs to dance to was "WILD ONE" by BOBBY RYDELL. What a workout that was and I loved every step of it..

  • One of my favorites,Lets bring the doowops back and get rid of that sh$t they call music today

  • @muggsie753 Wow do I agree with you, how can we bring back doo wop. All we ever get is a tease with those Oldies shows on PBS. I was wishing that there could be a club that opened in all major cities just playing our songs but they say only the young kids spend money so they gear towards that age group.

  • im mexican and 13 but i also agree the music back then is totally way better then now!!!!!

    { HOW I WISH I WAS BORN IN THE 60'S}

  • this music is 100000000000 times better than the shit we call music today/mike

  • i agree with you 10000000000% the so called music today is freakin garbage....i have a hole bunch of doo whoop songs on my xbox 360....and its funny when i have my door closed and i play this music when my mom's friends come over there like how lives in that room...they get surprised cause im only 18...but ive been listening to since i was little but just recently got the chance to download them

  • @lsskakarot Glad to hear of your appreciation of good music, our songs had a beat, and a story. Keep collecting those oldies..

  • I'm 15 and this music is the best in the world.. 50's & 60's beats everything!

    The music these days sucks!

  • not when its aggrotech...i love aggrotech. and symphonic black - gothic- doom metal....

but i do like this stuff also...

  • @antoniodsl unfortunatly other teens dont take thir time to listen and just miss out on this

  • @antoniodsl Thay a boy, your 100% correct on that.

  • @antoniodsl You have great taste in music

This is when their were singers who had real talent.

  • @antoniodsl Welcome to Doo Wop. You have our respect.

  • @antoniodsl Same here our peers just dnt appreciate good music

  • @antoniodsl right on dude i hear ya

  • @antoniodsl im in an identical situation...

  • @antoniodsl We don't have much choice today do we? I'm 18 and completely agree. Today's music doesn't have anything on a song like this!

  • @antoniodsl i know its a year ago but I cant help but agree. Im 24 and cant stand todays music. Give me a fine tune from the 30's 40's 50's 60's and im a happy woman. Finally someone who thinks like me :D

  • @antoniodsl Son do some more looking around there's always good music being made (and bad music too) at any time period You may prefer certain types of music and certain eras Don't get me wrong I bought my first 45s in 1962 and loved the music of the 50s and 60s but I also liked music made right up to this day and also pre-Rock'n'Roll music Widen your horizons you may be pleasantly surprised PEACE

  • @antoniodsl Good for you! Doowop and 40s and 50s rock n roll changed the world forever!

  • @antoniodsl Agreed! I'm much older and I've loved this tune since I was 15!

Music does suck these days. But I am glad to be alive in these times when we can find the best music of any age with help from the internet!

  • tylylylylylyy

  • @antoniodsl You forgot to mention the 70s, 80s, and even the early 90s.

  • @antoniodsl nobody craes how old you are new music does suck but oldies arent the only good music out there

  • @antoniodsl I fell in love with this when I was 15...I'm 49 now.
