I watched this and thought it was bloody fantastic entertainment. big shout out to Louise Marshall in Jools' band - absolutely fantastic voice which would challenge most of the pop "stars" these days. always knew the girl would go far!

What a shame that Jools was slated in the press for the Hootenanny not being live. Don't these journalists realise that he's touring for most of the year giving total pleasure to his fans? It must be exhausting and he deserves to have New Year off. I always love watching him and his band (not forgetting his wonderful guest singers). Thanks Jools for providing such great entertainment on New Year's eve - it beat the competition hands down as usual. Don't read the rubbish in the papers! xx
