one time i was jumping and then the pony started to canter but i couldnt know how to bring it at a trot back i pull soooo hard

If I so much as tug on the horses mouth, my Trainer goes BEAST on me. She has scared me a couple of times, but I still love her. ^_^

that horse trainer was like OK TROT TROT TROT YA FEEL THE DIFFRENCE. Lol. Instuctors like that are GREAT INSTRUCTORS. you dont want a horseback riding instructor to be like ok good job......when you might be doing something TOTALLY diffrent you know???

I take private lessons with my horse and my trainer IS AWESOME shes worked with horses for over 20 years and has experienced so much, good and bad with horses. Your trainer probably should have had all your attention on you since it's basically your first time. Your butt really stick to the saddle well. It took me like 3 months to finally have an actual seat in the canter. I would fling all over the place. Awesome riding ! :)

The instructor was simply giving instructions. She saw was needed to be corrected, and tried to correct it.

When you get stiff, your horse gets stiff.

this was not my first canter but it was only like the 5th or 6th time i cantered him. he was the most awsomest horse ever! but i moved barns so i dont see him anymore

the instructor should have had her full attention on you not the other people during my first canter the other people in my class (none of them were ready to canter yet) had to go into the middle and halt so she could just watch me yours was adjusting stirrups and talking to the other person and then got mad...that's just not right but i LOVE the pony and it was good for the first canter just don't like your instructor

Try to keep your legs steadier, there a little bouncy at the Canter,also, try to sit up a little straighter and don't hold the reins so tight, just hold them to where there not bnouncing around, but there not pulling him. Otherwise your doing great! Hope you like it!

lools like the rifer is holding her head way to tight. when she canters the horse her hands come back and the horses head is pulled too.. thats not comfortable for the horse. try not to do that.
