With all respect due to the greatness of Led Zeppelin (and they hold a high rung in my musical ladder), this tune is boring in comparison to the Tull classics. Even Ian seems bored with it. Somehow when performed by Zep it has a lot more appeal. Ian is used to playing like Mozart and this is more like mary had a little lamb for him.

Hate to burst the bubble of all you horny Tull fans, but this vid is NOT Jethro Tull. Ian Anderson plays orchestral JT was the title of the tour and lucious Lucia was along for a few dates. Without Martin Barre on guitar it is not JT, but she did tour in 2005 with the full band and did this tune...and it was amazing. (Never thought I would ever see Tull cover Zep, though)

This absolutely stretches the limits of the violin, but then again, shows that the violin is not entirely suited to certain genres of music. I'm not going to make this into a violin-versus-guitar or whatnot argument, but the violin performs so well in classical music which is just as entertaining and many times more sophisticated compared to modern music.

Lucia Micarelli's Bohemian Rhapsody fully used all of the violin's abilities, though. She's an excellent violinist.
