OK... That's not really nuclear fusion; that's more like atoms switching their bonds (single/double displacement, (de)composition). Nuclear fusion is when atoms fuse, not bond, to create a heavier nucleus. In the case of the D-T reaction, an unstable atom is produced, which sends a neutron flying out of the nucleus, producing yet more energy. Besides, how could nuclear fusion occur in plants so easily, with nothing forcing the nuclei together? How come humans can't use that now to produce energy
