Actually there is a lot of costume players that went over to Kigurumi (doller cosplay) it is more expensive, the masks usually cost anywhere from $500 and up, a lot of people in Japan do it for fun and for Costume playing, the sad part is the guys who do the cross-playing for fetishes and such, especially the people in the USA who have a tendancy to bastardize anything from Japan.
