I'm not a bucks fan, I'm a USC fan, but if it wasn't for the national title game, Troy Smith wouldn't have nearly as much bad pub, every game before the bowl game the guy was unstoppable, I mean say what you want, but there wasn't a better quaterback for 12 games in America, but obviousley he also won't get drafted high cuz he's 6 foot, but he's still in the NFL so thats still beast

the bottom line when it comes to Troy Smith is he showed up for every single game he has played at OSU..beat Michigan Twice, beat two #2 teams in this season and lost to the third #2 ranked team in the national championship. The SEC isnt as good as the southerners make it out to be just fast..and by the way thedayhaddied OSU as a team didnt show up for that game after a what 62 day lay off...but there will never be a rematch...

Troy Smith deserves the Heisman about as much as I do. He is NOT the reason OSU is the #1 team in the country. In contrast, there are several other candidates with equal or better stats who are the major reason their teams are winning. If Smith wins, so be it, but he will go well behind other players come the NFL draft. And maybe that'll be a good thing. The NFL will tell college football who THEY think are the better players (see Matt Leinart from last year's draft).

i don't think i quite understand your logic. you argue that nd's schedule is crap. they both play 2 very good teams, 1 of which is michigan. texas and usc are very comparable teams. other than that, their seasons are mostly fluff. iowa sucks now, and troy smith lights up cincy, niu, iowa, nw, and iu like brady lights up navy and such (although he does it better). troy smith, to me, has been largely unimpressive, never having to lead his team from behind like brady has.
