  • Wow, this is how I came up with my user name over 15 years ago...

  • Awesome !

  • Download link? Very good job love it :)

  • Need a link to download!!!! Plsssss

  • I think the "No Line On The Horizon" part of the mix could have just been thrown in there, but it is known that The Fly, Ultra Violet, and The Lady With The Spinning Head all originated from one song. Look up Take You Down and you'll hear components of all three of those songs there. It was hypothesized that this song, produced at a random jam session, eventually led to these songs.

  • that is true. The song is called "Wake Up and Take Me Down" though. In fact U2 has a unreleased album from 1991 that was the basis of Achtung Baby. One song has The Fly solo and one has the main riff from UTEOTW, but the song structures are completely different.

  • That was pretty cool. Thanks for putting forth the effort...

  • SEI UN GRANDE!!!!!

  • WOW!!!! GREAT!!!!!! NO LINE totally falls into the Achtung Baby SOUND and its awesome to hear somebody blend it in such a beautiful way.........LOVE IT..........I want one for myself!!!!!!!!!!

  • WOW!!!! This is awesome!! I want that in mp3 too please dont be so lazy and give us a link lol

  • Oh man, that was cool. What did you use to do this?

  • Hi Mitch. The program used was Ableton Live. Great program for mixing, recording, MIDI - heck it does everything!

  • amazing, how can i download this song

  • i'll post a link on the weekend - I'm just lazy! Glad you enjoyed it mate.

  • very good :-)

  • Amazing mix. If you coule mps it, it would be brilliant :D

  • Nice one bro!

  • MICK JAMES - I salute you!! great job done!! just need this on mp3

  • Interesting I guess. However, I think the background guitar on NLOTH was done on purpose as a homage to their biggest album. I too am a huge fan and NLOTH is their second best album...

  • For sure, there's quite a few references to Achtung on NLOTH - this riff, the "baby baby baby" in Crazy, the So Cruel intro to MOS as well as the Stay style OH OHs in MOS. :)

  • ...this is nothing...if you wanna hear someone using the same guitar riffs for over 20 years, listen to The Cure's Catalogue: In Between Days-Push-Just Like Heaven-Lovesong-Pictures Of You-A Letter To Elise-High-Friday I'm In Love are the same song.

Besides this as a Fan you know that LWTSH it's the blueprint for 'Ultraviolet(light My way) as it's named 'UVI' on the B-Side of the 'One' single (1992), so those should count as one guitar riff.

  • LOL I love the Cure, and you're right...... next mash-up will be the Cure! Stay tuned :)

  • where can I download this???

  • This was cool, but just because they have the same rhythm/tempo doesn't mean that Edge used the same riff in all of them. Although there is a guitar part that was recycled from "The Fly" for "Lady..."

  • lol, it's all good! I've been a massive fan for 20 years, and the Edge is my hero. As a guitarist though, when I heard No Line (version 2 in particular) I instantly started thinking of Ultra Violet, Spinning Head and the Fly - some of my all-time favs.

The rythhms and tempos were actually all quite different and it took a fair bit of work to get them to match. However all five songs are in exactly the same key, and no pitch correction was needed at any point. All done just for us U2 fans :)

  • dude, tnx, when will your mercy mash up be released?

  • Soon! I'm just fiddling with all the timings to make it work. Within the week..stay tuned :)

  • within the week? :P

  • It's up now Mr Thuuur! Have a look in my channel. :)

  • Schizo Bono. Interesting

  • NICE JOB!

  • Awesome!!

  • That rocks lol

  • Cheers! I hope Edge hears it and realizes he's used the same riff 5 times! Great riff though...

  • good job!

  • Thanks! I finished this mix in Sydney yesterday, and you heard it in Italy within a day! Awesome. :)
