These 12x times more people blah blah blah satistics are totally flawed. The fact is that only a very small percentage of people actually put themselves in a vulnerable position to be attacked. If you think your toaster is more dangerous go do the back stroke around this island I dare you. thumbs up if you agree.
you are almost as likely to get struck by lightning than getting attacked by a shark. people should really do some research on sharks. yes they are intimidating, yes they can kill someone and will at any time, but the chances of that happening are VERY slim.chances are, almost everybody who went out deep into the water has had a shark pass by them at some point. guess what? you didn't even know it was there. why? because it doesn't care about us. do some research and you will know why it will
@stryder050 l learned in oceans class that the reasons why sharks attack people is because they mistaken us for a seal or fish or they attack to eat because the local resources are very scarce do to pollution. so for every shark attack that happens its our own damn fault
@cjcool91 see, you did some research. yes, most cases it's because they think we are seals. shiny things like jewelry attracts them too. But I'm pretty sure you know all this stuff. Amazing predators. I'm just glad Megaladon is history along with most of the other APEX predators that used to rule the deep. Those ancient bastards are scary as f*ck
@2550505 No I don't I just like swimming in the ocean without having to worry about a mindless hulking beat trying to eat me. They serve no purpose in the ocean other than controlling the seal population, which is easy enough for humans to control.
Well I think sharks are ugly and would be better off dead. I'm as entitled to my opinion just as you are to yours. Your personal attacks show a lack of intelligence. Thanx :)
1:31 imagine being a surfer or a snorkeler an that hits you from under-neath... Jesus... I Fucking Love the Great White like no other but damn....As soon as i got hit i hope id be dead before i hit the water again..
That's just terrifying... I think ill continue staying out of the ocean.
@liverpoolre4 lol ditto. I don't give a flying fuck what "experts" say about " oh no their actually completely harmless, there have only been a few attacks in the past blah blah blah" lol look all I know is if one gets particulartly hungry and sees me swimming in the water I don't want to be anywhere near it lol. Fuck that I'll take my chances swimming close to shore. lol
What's amazing is how these seals are just but a measly snack for this huge shark Each of those seals weigh about 250lbs-350lbs If I remember right. All of those attacks have been slowed tremendously as well. Nature sees to always surprise me amazingly.
and to think, mankind hunts these magnificent creatures just for the thrill of the kill.. "Humanity's a failed experiment, walking the path to extinction.."

those statistics are fallacies. they are taking into account everyone in the world. the majority of people dont live near/go in the ocean, so how can they be attacked by sharks? if you focus on the people who do go to the beach/in waters WHERE GREAT WHITES ARE, your statistics change. also, as someone else stated, people know not to mess with sharks. if you have so much confidence in those stats, go swim with them. yeah...didnt think so.

@MrMooseBallz On the contrary people always underestimate the danger of sharks these days. Everyone's heard of the low statistical probability of being attacked by a shark. Pretty much everyone has a toaster and are exposed to it. But how many people swim in water that is inhabited by a great white shark? Then you can see how the percentage of people who are attacked by sharks vs the total people who can be attacked by a shark goes up dramatically.
I don't know about anyone else, but I find that sharks are beautiful yet mysterious creatures that shouldnt be judged because of a few attacks. @Fugative09 a lot of things are dangerous, but that doesnt give anyone the right to kill them unless its for food aka survival. @proximityeffect1 yes they plan their attack.that doesn't make them particularly mindful. they've had billions of years of evolution to be able to plan an attack.doesn't make them mindful.being mindful suggests thinking alot, but sharks don't really think a great deal as they don't need to think, other than to plan an attack. and whether it's their world or not, they are still killing machines in their world.
@proximityeffect1 in evolutionary terms, sharks are pretty much mindless. they do not socialise in the same respect as humans do i.e going for a coffee and talking about their day HENCE their brains are much smaller and designed for very little. they do swim and HUNT together.but it's all about protection, breeding and killing. They ARE killing machines, as is demonstarted in this video. And they don't always kill due to the fact sometimes they are full or relaxed.BUT MOST OF THE TIME they do.
@proximityeffect1 i do agree they are beautiful though. beautiful in the sense of how powerful they are and how fascinating they look. but they are eating machines and there have been thousands of cases of sharks killing humans.going in for the kill and returning for more. Either way, who are we to kill them & call them man eaters when it's people that is in their territory in the first place. If you ask me they deserve to be attack. Sharks rule the sea and that's the way nature made it to be.

I feel sorry for this magnificent and powerful creature. They are so misunderstood by others. Sadly, will be extinct if the killing rate continues. Either way, who are we to kill them & call them man eaters when it's people that is in their territory in the first place. If you ask me they deserve to be attack. I am smart enough not to go in the open water and testify them because I know that's a death calling.
