OJ could've gotten on the witness stand and confessed to the murders. It would've made no difference, the jury still would've voted for acquittal. I remember one of the alternate jurors after the trial saying something to the effect that O.J. Simpson was innocent because Johnny Cochrane never takes a case unless his client is innocent.

@ jagara1 OJ was found "Not Guilty" by a jury of his peers. That's our system. He was not found innocent. The court case was a charade, I agree. If it was any one else his trial would have lasted 3 days. There is a great reenactment of the closing argument done by Vincent Bugliosi on You Tube called, "Vincent Bugliosi vs OJ Simpson" in audio form. If Bugliosi would have done the closing argument for the prosecution, there would have been a "Guilty" verdict.

He was found to be innocent in what was a charade of a court case.
The case against him failed due to how the evidence was gathered.
There was also huge media publicity during the case .
He was let off because of his huge wealth and influence - the race card was also played during his trial (in an implicit manner).
The police are not looking for the killer because they have found him - it is only that justice has not found him yet...

It literally can take a week for the extra fluid to accumilate enough for someone to not fit in their shoes, pants,shirts... and gloves. They really can consume more salt and swell up enough in a short time which is why people with HBP and heart conditions have to follow a low sodium diet, take a diuretic and other medications. Like people on prednisone can gain weight very easily, fluid retention is the same for someone with a heart condition/hbp.

OJ used the opportunity to make sure they did not fit. Anyone with HBP/heart condition will retain a lot of fluid if they don't take their meds and watch their salt- it happens fast too. It is why they take diuretics and watch their salt. Salt retains water...and a diuretic helps eliminate that,unless their salt intake is way off. If their salt is way off and not taking meds is a sure way to gain pounds even faster. It would take just a week to retain enough for clothing to not fit.
