The girl cries, the Doctor freaks out, shows girl the birth of earth. Girl stops crying, the Doctor breathes sigh of relief. He is so sweet about it too.
The Doctor is so cute - he doesn't really do emotions in relationships so well - Donna's crying, and rather than address that he shows her the creation of the earth.
I've never noticed that but it's very true, he doesn't handle emotions that well and he's even worse at relationships so he doesn't know what to say except show her the earth being made from outer space.
