is very expensive to visit this island if you go make sure you bring you pigybank with ,the cheaper option is to visit you local zoo any where in the u.s they bought a lot of them from the island and put them on the zoo.

YES I know that , but it is unreal the animals you see there. I was in Guayaquil Ecuador about 2 years ago and visited Galapagos. I spent 5 days of my 2 week trip on the Galaxy(motor yacht) going to different areas of the islands.

Heini, good video. I liked to seing that Tortoise close to town on road up. It got scared from car passing by...good thing tortoise was clsoe to town...maybe means is not scared and first time I see that..tortoises close to town in STa Cruz?? whats happening...??!

.anyway, how come tortoise was this close (to getting run by car..:)!!!

Beautiful video. Every time I think that I want to visit the Galapagos I read where too much ecotourism may be damaging the islands. These are beautiful animals. Thank you for sharing. I have a 14 year old African Tortoise who grazes in my backyard but he is only a little over 100 pounds. He is legal to keep and is not in danger of extinction, so don't post bad responses. My wife teaches kindergarten and he goes up to school once a year where he is quite a hit.
