Ho chi Minh the viet leader studied in France before comming back to Indochina. There was at the beginig a good relationship with France, we brought for example the vaccine. The problem was we didn't defend Indochina from the japanese invasion during the war, and after it we took Indochina back because we are NOT FRENCH LOSER and we won the war against the germans (like more than 1000 other wars in our history). Im am french and I really apologize for what my country did to Indochina before and during the war. But I'm not sure that Ho chi Minh did the best thing to do for his country when he started a war with france. First he became dependent of china and if Indochina remained french, the vietnam war never had existed. If you look at french colonies who stayed french like Guiana, you would now have modern Infrastructure and people would have more money and real freedom.
