@ultradumbass : You live up to your name. That aside, seeing an airplane broken up (google it) is really, really sad. I get your point though, a breakdown of a ship after a mishap is usually s relatively a slow process. A breakup of a plane after a mishap is (usually) a fast process. A slight difference.

i was in this vessel for 10 months!! there was already a hole that the crew had repaired. they hit a tanker vessel so that the reason why the bulkier sunk!! the captain of this vessel is a greek national what its a karma for him because his very rude!!! blame the captain he always sleep at working time!!!1

I was there , this accident was 14 August 2007,and this ships still here,and I don't now,how long stay more....when was this accident I sail on M.T...and I have picture from this place,when we aproach to Algeciras...?I remember this ships crash accident with Gas Tanker,but he haws damage only bow...navigator :)

Gibraltar pilot explained that vessel has collided with tanker, which was left from terminal.

The latest information is that they are still removing its cargo of scrap metal from inside the ship using a crane barge called Bigfoot 2.

Latest on the New Flame: Attempts to salvage the stern section have been abandoned as its hull is progressively deteriorating. The hull could break at any moment, the tug Fotiy Krylov the largest in the world is remaining on standby attached to the New Flame.
