Portal 2 PC split screen using logitech gamepad tutorial

Help please!!! I can't play Split Screen mode in Portal 2. Can't even get in the map just kicks me out while loading a map. I set up my controller, ss_enable 1, exec joy_configuration and then I start the map from console, and unplugged and plugged back in still no progress. It said that my partner has disconnected. But I play ALONE! Offline split screen.

I got to split screen multiplayer with my 360 controller set to player two, but all I can do with it is walk around and look left and right. Unplugging and plugging it in just makes it player one, and suddenly all the buttons are bound to their controls again. What the fuck is going on here?

What about a GGE909 Gamepad i have done the Xbox controller Emulator but the problem is when i go to play the game it wont register as a controller i cant play with it.

Hey you are the best, this is the first that works. But, the gamepad-er - how does he gesture? Everything works, but gestures and extra pinging does not at gamepad. Can I somehow adjust that in some of those files? Like putting the gesture to 4th button or some other? Thanks 4 response. You´re great!

@Nail10Rooney im not sure what are u talking about lol but i think u can change some of the stuffs inside the file, i never done it though cuz it was made originally for the gamepad i used so no need of any tweak

@bogellenong I mean that the player who controlls it with gamepad - no button is set to gesture(or it doesn t work). And Ping tool it works only with "the eye" I mean it doesn´t show up the menu with what you want to choose (portal here; come here; counting).

it would be more interesting to use 2 x mouses and 2 x keyboards ;) i can also use 2 screens (first screen = player 1, second screen = player 2)

@friesmaker Hey listen i figured it out. u need x360ce emulator and when u assign the buttons in it save it and 2 files will appear in your desktop: xinput1_3.dll and x360ce. copy them in the correct poral 2 folders.

THEN!!! enter the game , open up the console, type ss_map mp_coop_start.

THEN!!! when u enter the game pause and type in console sv_cheats AND THEN: in_forceuser 1!!!!!!

this will set your controller to the 2nd player, enjoy!

i Like your video but only two things..... first 1.you could use programs like hypercam to record the videoclip instead of a real-camera .... and second 2. is there a problme if i have a xbox gamepad for windows ?

@TheWoried 1. yeah lol thats true, but i found this thing out and just made a video right away using a camera, gonna do that next time, i was just in a big rush

2. not at all. Before only 360 controller allow you to do this, and you have to do intense editing to properly play using logitech. So the mini program helps everyone to convertt their logitech just like 360, the advantage is that i can edit the mini program converter so unlike 360 controller owner, we dont have to unplug and replug

@makaronassss open your xbox360cemu.ini and change the numbers after the equal sign to the following:

Left Shoulder=6

Right Shoulder=5

Left Trigger=8

Right Trigger=7

Depending on your controller, you may have to tweak this file. I use the Saitek P990 and I had to change the ini file to correct the right analog X and Y settings. Post your resolution or issue.

@WhiseWizzyeasy fix, in your xbox360cemu.ini file change the following number after the equal sign to the following:

Right Analog X=6

Right Analog Y=-3

(original settings where 3 and -6)

I had the same issue, and this worked for me. I did close out of the game and Steam completely just to made sure the changes worked. cheers!
