it's impossible to beat an aircraft with a land vehicle because no matter what your terminal velocity for any car will be limited by the friction of the wheels vs the resistance of the air. you can't get enough traction on the ground with 4 wheels to push it against the wind faster then a 2 or 300 mph for a conventional shaped car no matter how powerful the engine. Whereas an aircraft can go many thousands of mph because it's expelling propellent at thousands of mph.

Okay the bugatti can withstand those speeds because of the spoiler, the side wind tunnels on the car ( not even sure they are called wind tunnles, I'm pretty sure they are side scoops, idk ) and the car lowers for AERODYNAMICS!! Saleen just got served, even though I do like the cars. SSC ultimate aero is so far the fastest car produced. Actually, no the orca SC7 Is no where near the ssc. Sc7 is hella old super car.

Okay, Ima settle this dispute right now. The Saleen S7 Is not the fastest car, the ssc ultimate aero is. A car that can go 360 and look like what it does will result in a dead driver, after the car lands on the roof from sevral feet in the air. They wouldn't make that car go that fast without proper aerodynamics. Plus wind tunnels do not reach that speed, if you watched top gear with the Veyron he said it's impossible for wind tunnels to reach that fast.
