Nascar 2003, for PS1 by EA held my top most memorable moments, like 8 wide at richmond, and a crash that sent my car straight up in the air for about 30 seconds, i estimated about a mile high. But ive moved on to bigger and better, and having never played this game i still think EA has better games. (but it is a biased statement)
If you see any clip of an offline crash, it's not like that at all. Most online crashes are like this because of the fact that the computers have to send so much stuff to each other to make it happen that crashes are the least priority.
what are you talking about NR2003 has the best crashes in any game. this guys computer isn't that good to fully load the wrecks thats why its laggy and the cars go thru each other.
The laggy effect is due to the video encoding, and in defence of my (now replaced) PC I have to say that it was indeed powerful enough for the game and the poor car collision physics was not down to my PC, but rather the (otherwise totally excellent) game. This was a clip from an online race, perhaps it was a connetion spike or something.
Papyrus are famous for Nascar 2003, it is still held as the ultimate Nascar racing sim even all these year later - some would argue it is unsurpassed. The crashes are on the whole realistic too, I only posted this ovie as I never saw another flip like the one produced in this crash :o)
Hey, for good crashes, photo finishes, and big time glitches in NR2003, come check out my crash vids (:

good luck trying the game for under $100. If you do play it, you'll see how flawed your statement was.

Every video I see for a Nascar game for PC are all like that where the cars go into the ground or each other so I think it's the game itself
