  • I bet your proud of this, i would be :)

  • Nice, but, dude hide these wires somewere/somehow...

  • Beast! I'm making a similar build.

  • co oni sie podniecaja tymi kompami :>

  • You don't need a cpu fan with this case ?

  • This is like an $800 build now. Still good though!

  • Not bad, I would have wired it better but oh well to each his own.

  • wires

  • nice pc, but the cable Management sucks!

  • Nice case, I shut it off after I saw "Radeon" though.

  • @Neurotripsicks

Absolutely nothing wrong with AMD Radeon at all.

  • Ive had that cooler for some time and I must say I wont have anything else :)

  • does the top fan controller only control the fans that came with the case or can you plug additional fans into it

  • @acogscopepwn you can plug other fans into the daisy chain of wires and it will control them too.

  • I cried a little while watching this video now i cant wait to finish my system

  • you are a wanker leave holden wanker

  • hi there, we have the same set up, my newly built pc,..i just want to ask if the fan will stop if you put the fan controller to the lowest? thanks, & keep it up...

  • @macjr0379 No the fan controller will not go down enough for them to stop.

  • Why is everybody such a holes to this guy? I like his build! People post videos of their computers on here to show off and be proud of there rig. Him installing the v8 sideways was a great idea with the ventilation of this case. Its called being creative and thinking ahead. He didn't waste money in his opinion. He built what he wanted! YouTube really should be called YouTroll sometimes, it's pathetic how people troll on others!

  • dx 10 noob

  • Looks like you need a tie rap, DAMN

  • looks like you wasted a lot more money than necessary. but thats just my opinion. it sure looks cool anyways.

  • I just bought the Coolermaster Storm Scout case. i was wondering, if i instal the coolermaster v8, will i have enough space between it and the two 120 fans on the acrylic glass? i mean that cooler is Huge! but i think the CM Storm Scout is wider as the sniper what do you think?

  • @Arbalested Yes It Will fit, The Case Is even Bigger than It Looks.Check out my Flickr

    page and see mine.

  • was it made to have an optional 2 fan on side or is that just screwed in randomly

  • who installed v8 for u? itss wrong...and cable management suckss assss

  • Since it is now 28 september 2010 i dont think i have to tell you that the sniper is 1 of the best to have for CABLE MANAGMENT (?) :P

  • The sideways V8 configuration, its because of the RAM?

  • Who the hell needs 3 hard drives?

  • what rear fan is that?

  • Can this case fit a 5970

  • yes

  • lmfao your cooler is on wrong

  • @Mohagrus

Someone needs to read the description.....

  • nice pc

  • Finally someone who uses decent music in their vids and not techno shitty crap >:(

  • why is it always gay ass music for these kinda vids

  • Beast pc

  • did you mod the case or did it come like that?

  • did you replace the original red led fans?

  • @negiz13 Sniper have blue fans, the HAF series have red fans.

  • the v8 cooler with the stock 230mm fan in the door is a tight fit... you have about 1mm clearance.. but it fits!! good job going to the 120's tho.

  • I loves ur vid card, it's awesome! I have 2 of these in quad fire, and i must say they bee working good!!

  • Yeah nice PC, but you have a DirectX10 video card, and I have a shitty Pentium 4 HT, 1GB of RAM and I have a DirectX11 video card.

  • The CPU Cooler is not correct installed.

  • T_T

  • nice build bro what kind of temps are you getting with that cpu and the v8 and at what clocks

  • bright fans are they thw stock?

  • how is the fan controller on your system is it good or worth buying an extra fan controller for the pc

  • not really, i have the black edition and the controller comes with 2 additional hookups for additional fans and led's... and you can really put more than 2 extra fans in there because the 4pins for the fans in the case are stackable..

  • love the case and setup u got there. planning to build an almost identical setup soon, but want to go for the 5850 or 5870 and then plan to add another later on. wat kinda temps r u seeing with v8 turned sideways like that? never seen that done b4

  • You installed that v8 wrong side bro

  • @nateluvclare he didn't,he installed it so the hot ait is exsauted tothe 200mm on the top,not the 120mm at the back.

  • yeah.. but the exhaust is just going out the top 230 instead of the back 120... no biggie..

  • Do some cable management dude :)

  • The cables, they are everywhere o.o

  • i have core i7 975 biatchhhh

    3.33 GHZ!!!!!!

  • dude i think u install u v8 is wrong way

  • @markzhong its facing up towards the top case exhaust fan...you install your HSF facing its own exhaust towards your case's highest/biggest CFM exhaust fan...plus heat travels up towards the highest point in a given space, upper case exhaust fans FTW.

  • nice :) now give ot to me.......

    lol

  • ummmmmmmm..... not bad

  • Nice rig man, all those cables give me a stomach ache though....

  • i agree with flairzack check out my rig other than that nice setup

  • lacks cable management..

  • Can I put 2 120er fans in the side? Because in other videos there's a 200er or 250er fan ...

  • Nice setup man, looks great [=

  • front dust filter is got a clump of dust

  • @Alwyn1000 cuz its supposed to be a dust filter. it snaps right off so u can clean it

  • Hmm. CM V8 sits sideways. Personal preference?

  • is that the default front fan? i thought there was a blue LED in the front. did you take it out or is it hard to see?

  • now all thats left to do is cable management and youll be set

  • what song is playin?

  • its in the description

  • nIce gaming pc.....^_X

  • Is it OC'd, and what kind of temps are you getting? I'm ordering a Storm Sniper and trying to decide on a cooling solution, the V8 is on my short list.

  • @d1zzleTX Buy the Corsair H50... I love it.

  • Would a 5870(x2) / 5970 fit into this?

And if so, would it be future proof in terms of space for larger Ghrapic cards ?

  • @Siemystic

Yes. They both fit in the Storm Sniper

  • heh cool music

better than most people blare while making their vids

0:09 turned it up from 'pwn' to '1337' ;o

  • lol nice cable management

  • Damn! What the hell is that case?! :?

  • battleforge theme music?

  • Yep.

  • Your cable management sucks.

Nice hardware though. I have an i7 as well.

  • All in All very nice job, you should ditch the Cooler Master LED fans and replace them with Scythe 3000 Ultra Kaze fans $10 each and move 133CFM.

  • Yeah man I've since moved on to water cooling.. much more fun :)

  • fuk u!! LED's are fukin AWESOME!!!! (jokes)

  • Love the Rig! I thought i put my V8 on wrong when i saw mine sideways, but since yours is sideways as well i guess it's normal for LGA775, apparently only AMD's go on right side up so you can read Cooler Master V8 on the heat sink. Take no offense this is only my opinion, they will never be any LED's in my case except for the V8's LED. Second Zip tie's work wonders for cable management, just get black ones so they blend in with the power cables.

  • i know...judging by ur system that u could afford these parts, but why the i7 940, u could have had the 920 and just oc'd it to faster speeds. i dont see the point in the 940, 950 when u can just buy the ultra overclockable 920 D0 :) just saying btw, but...WHYYYYY? :D

  • good question... at the time i bought all the parts i had no knowledge or interest in overclocking. i have since sold that chip and gone with the 920 and OC'd to 3.6GHz :)

  • veryy nice :)..thats faster than the stock 975, so, nice1 :D

  • because the 920 is capped at its clock speed you cant overclock it

  • your an idiot.

I have my 920 clocked @ 4.3 on air and still have room for more.

  • lol I know. all cpu's are capped to begin with... thats why you overclock!! bit of of a no brainer ay?

  • What the fuck are you talking about??

There is no cap on CPU clock's.

  • @ LB10671 what ever, what I meant by capped is the stock core clock... then I wa sayin that you over clock from there

  • What ev@r!

  • Some better cablemanagement? or???

I'v got the same case btw.

In my opinion, it's one of the best gamer cases ever made!

  • Can you fit a 120 mm fan into those 3 drive bays below your DVD burners ( or what ever they are).

  • Yeah probably so

  • Time for some cable management! :P

  • That's a nice case ..i'm about to run a dark night on a i7 975 let me know how cool it keeps yours?

  • ok thanks, does anyone know how to test a pc chassis (let the fans run)without installing a motherboard?

    I mean the sniper case

  • you can just conect the fans to the PSU.

  • music?

  • in the description

  • the sniper is the best case ever!

  • Is this case loud?

  • It was when the 4870X2 was cranked up... it's more of a quiet cool...

  • very nice.

I will buy the same case but the black edition and a zalman cnps10 extreme cpu cooler, nice shit

  • can you please list the core temps the v8 is cooling?

  • I don't have this setup anymore but I remember them being around 50C idle and 80C load. I don't think I had the best fit with the V8 on the processor though. The V8 is a nice product but I used a Dark Knight on a different build as it was easier to install and had lower temps :)

  • thanks !!

  • stop bitching about cable management.. that's heavy duty shit. not much more you can do really.

  • looks good btw :p

  • Comment removed

  • omg cable management

  • could use a bit of cable management tho

  • Also, he was saying the i7 940 was a fail because the i7 920 overclocks really well especially if you get one of the D0 revision ones.

  • Nice. We have about the same computer. I've got my V8 turned 90 degrees from the way you have it, but that makes sense to point it towards the larger exhaust. Right on. I was thinking about buying the 200 mm fan for the side panel but wasn't sure if it would clear the V8. After seeing this, I think I'm going to do it now.

  • great setup, the blue LED fans are awesome, maybe ill replace my fans too but I have the cooler master storm scout

  • Please be more specific... why is it a fail?

  • @supertroye he prolly didnt see the post date.

verry nice pc , and ye my v8 is mounted sideways aswell somehow ..

  • 920 is less expensive and

  • that rig is awesome

  • Whats the song called on this video ? Sounds very familiar to me. Love the build btw, I just ordered this case, can't wait :D

  • does the power supply have a dust filter??

  • yeah there was one in the case underneath the power supply.

  • Comment removed

  • Right on... it's a great case for non-modders and modders alike. Yeah, when I had it I knew nothing about cable management. Big lesson learned :)

  • My case is a mess soon as i pluged it all in i started gaming il do wire tidy up when I'm bored of running games on it.

  • i think girls are more attracted to blue than boys with red

  • u cant do cable management in that case right?

  • Yes you can! At the time I built this I had no idea what cable management was, thus the tangles mess of wires. I would recommend a modular power supply to help eliminate unwanted cables. It's very possible to tuck away the wires and make it look neat and clean in the CM Storm Sniper.

  • fuck yeah, ofcourse you can! :D

he'd been just lazy arse when he built that :D

  • supertroye do you think cooler master v8 will fit in my case? cooler master storm scout? with motherboard evgax58 sli le? please reply tnx...

  • Yes! A V8 will fit in a Storm Scout. Check out this video for a visual: /watch?v=XBD1ugLUT4Y

  • Did your case come with the large side fan? I'm going to be buying the black edition of this case, and I've heard some people say it comes with the fan, and some people saying they didn't get the fan with it.

    thanks

  • I got the case from Newegg when it first came out. It didn't come with a 200mm side fan. If you go to cmstore.coolermaster-usa(.)com and buy it there it says it comes with 3 200mm fans. Hope this helps.

  • you could also put in a V10!!! if you need xD

  • wait..I thought the side panel holds a super large fan , not a whimpy 80mm!?

  • The side panel could hold either 2 120mm fans or 1 200mm fan

  • yea agree ArkAng3l should have see my, all hide behind

  • You should really cable manage :P

  • what song is this...

  • song is metalforge from the battleforge soundtrack by ea games

  • great video and case .. im debating between this model and the coolermaster HAF 932 man .. hows everythign working for you and how loud are the stock case fans ?!

btw : whats the music used ?

    Thanks

  • thanks man... yeah the HAF 932 is a great case too. it's a tad bit bigger than this one. i've since upgraded but the stock fans moved A LOT of air and were relatively quiet. check out 3DGameMan's review on the case for some dB readings on the fans. song is metalforge from the battleforge soundtrack by ea games. best of luck in your build!

  • your welcome and thanks for update info man .. yeah will see how things go as far as my new rig build :-)

  • nice mounting of the v8 there xD

  • MUHAHA i have that build but with 3 GTX 285 KICK ASS

  • you have the v8 cooler mounted side ways

  • The V8 was mounted sideways for a reason, since hot air rises it's blowing it up to the 200mm exhaust fan mounted at the top of the case.

  • Simple mistake hot air doesent rise it only goes to where its cold and seeing as the higher you get from the ground the colder it gets makes hot air rise this is why people think hot hair rises that may not be the way in your case though =]

  • Totally agree and I never did mount it the other way so that it blows air to the back of the case. It did however blow the warm up directly to the 110cfm exhaust fan at the top... so, I would think it would have an adequate stream to exit the case. Anyways, thanks again for the comments and the thoughts, maybe somebody out there has compared the two orientations to see which one is better?

  • I myself have the Tuniq 120 with the same case ill see if i can make up some results for different airflows in the case and call back to you oand oh another thing. HOLY CABLES MAN BUY SOME ZIP TIES! =]

  • Cool bro.. the thing is I don't have this case anymore! I've since moved on to water cooling and the CM ATCS 840. Ah yes, the cable management in that case was awful, just awful. A modular power supply would have done wonders to eliminate that fangled mess.

  • Haha aw! Owell do you have a video of your new PC? Id like to see it and is it the same specs? Just with Water Cooling?

  • Check out my channel for my ATCS 840 build :) I've got a bunch more videos up there as well.

  • ok thanks for the quick response. I watched your LSU build and man you are incredible. i also subscribed! can't wait to see that PC completed. Looks great so far

  • thanks for the comment! lol, nah there are guys out there that dwarf my feeble skills... I'm just having fun ;)

  • hey i was wondering if 1000w PSU was necessary for a build like that.. I was thinking about building a similar computer (except GTX 285 and HAF 932) and was planning on getting a 850w Corsair. I was pretty certain 850w would be ok but now i am seeing all these pc's with 1000w psu's in pc's with only one GPU and i was wondering if i was completely missing something, like the core i7 needs more power than previous CPU's i worked with in the past. Thanks

  • no, it is way overkill. i had that power supply to account for future growth if needed. you could easily get by with 650 on that setup. Check out extreme.outervision(.)com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

  • i assume those side fans generate alot of noise due to the resistance from the mesh....i hope im wrong though.

  • well, i didn't notice a difference. they aren't high speed fans and were controlled by the fan controller, so they stayed quiet most of the time.

  • Awesome rig!

Can you still put another Corsair Dominator on the memory slot below the V8? Just wondering :)

    Thanks a bunch?

  • Thanks for the comment... the motherboard has 6 slots and I'm only using 3 for a total of 6GB of memory. You can have up to 12GB supported for the ASUS P6T Deluxe. Also, the slot "below" the V8 is a PCI express x4 slot commonly used for sound cards and tv tuners.

  • The higher right portion of the the whole motherboard and below the v8 beside the corsair dominator on the most left slot nearest the to the v8, just wondering if it will still fit on one of the memory slots there below if the heatpipe blocks the way for an extra dominator. :D

Thank you so much for replying!~ :D

[sorry for the typographical letter on my 1st post XD]

Thank you for the info :)

  • Gheez.. sorry to insult your intelligence! OK, my best guess would be you could still a dominator in the 1st slot. I wish I still had the cooler b/c i would give it a shot and let you know.

  • Im very very sorry if I have insulted you no offence there.. just wanted to point out that I was not referring to the PCI-e. I just dont know how to point out through text the location cause Im a noob when naming these components. Once again sorry

I see, thanks so much for the information. ^_^

Have a nice day and keep up the great modding. All of us appreciate it :)

[sorry for the typographical errors esp the 1st one ("?" after the thanks), my bad]

  • doesnt the power supply get dusty very fast?? (cause there`s no filter at the bottom)

  • Yeah, good catch. There is a good bit of mesh at the bottom, as well as some honeycomb ventilation, so It wouldn't be hard to put some panty hose at the bottom to catch the dust. Problem solved!

  • nice idea, thanks man

  • what case was that

  • It's in the title of the video :) Cooler Master Storm Sniper

  • ouh... ok

  • Tidy up the cables and she'd be perfect, nice rig :)

  • Could not have said it better myself. A modular power supply would have been the best thing for that build.

  • How is the Coolermaster 900W UCP? I'm considering getting one for the comp I'm currently upgrading.

  • Oh man it's a great power supply! The major drawback is not modular. It has a lot of leads, and you can't do anything about them. Otherwise it's rated very high.

  • Nice, well after looking though some reviews I decided to purchase the Coolermaster PSU a GTX 275 and Antext 902 case, will be the first time I've upgraded/built a PC, rather looking forward to it, should be an interesting learning experience xD

  • That sounds like a fun build. Take it slow and make sure to take some videos! I'm sure no one around here will mind :)

  • Yup, I sure will, ill get a video of it when its built, just wondering, is it best to have computer parts out on a wooden floor over a carpet? I heard something about static & needing a wristband..so I went out and purchased one of thos
