Games runs better on a Mac running Windows via Boot Camp than a PC. It almost feels like old school EQ with so many races and home cities, then you play it and realize EQ was far more creative.
this reminds me of WoW because of the interface setup and casttime of spells. like, the character image along with his hp and mp is on the top left corner of the screen, the spells are on the bottom, it shows entering a new area the same way, quests tracking is the same (notice beggining of video the yellow text on the right side) along with other details.
EQ1 was actually like the 3rd MMO (Neverwinter Nights 1991 ;) Ultima Online ;) ), but whatever. Indeed it is one of the pioneers of the genre and in general saying one game took something from another is not very relevant :) It is important what it does with those ideas it borrows. Take Runes of Magic for example. It is a 99.9% WoW clone...even the textures are the same and the client structure, but if WoW had the same features as RoM, I would still be playing it today.

lol, for the first of all the sound in this video is not from Darkfall. For the second is the video bad pixelated, trust me. Vanguard have graphics way better than Runescape and WoW and the most other MMORPGs. Quite much the same Graphic as Oblivion
Ok I've been playin Vanguard for about 3 days now. I love it, it has a lot of innovation to it, a lot of new things that I've never seen before. I think it's about on par with WoW. However,and this is to silence all the mouth-breathers out there,WoW will forever be hailed as the greatest MMO because it revolutionized how MMOs were designed,it wasnt new, it was better;and yea WoW has cartoony graphics,but the content in that game is enough to blow almost every other MMO out of the water.

i certainly hope wow goes down when warhammer comes out, i've been banned twice by wow for no reason and im sick of their attitude. they need to be investigated, banning accounts and not people to sell another copy of wow is some type of illegal action. i'm not spending another dime on any blizzard products. i'm checking out vanguard i think, not sure if i have enough system requirements to run it though.
you need an amazing pc, i'd suggest a dual or quad core from intel, probably a 8800 gt or a 9600gt, about 4 gig of ram in the pc, maybe a single sata 10k rpm raptor, and maybe a second drive for all yoru data music etc... dont crowd your gaming drive, but put it on the OS drive when you install the game, try to keep any application installs to a minimum, find all the tweaks you can for a pc and you'll run it great.

Actually you just have to fiddle with the Video settings a little, try this and that and it will work. I passed the minimum req for the game and if spend some time with the settings you can get the game to be beautiful even if you have quite crap comp. But if you dont meet the minimim req for the game then thats bad..

From the videos I've seen from Beta, be forewarned that PVP might be annoying as hell. A lot of ganking from what I've seen. Maybe things will be different by launch...I'll be playing on a PVP server regardless of inadequacies.

Age of Conan is going to suck SO BAD. Look at RYL! It has the same system and it FLOPED! People need to stick with the traditional point and click, maybe even make it more like FFXI's system. <3333333333333333333333 FFXI

they say that there r pvp servers but i havent seen anything about pvp... i guess that the game will be a "play as u wish" game so if u want to lvl and then go kill some ppl then thats ur choice, ur factions may be altered abit but i think thats normal for this kind of game

From the videos I've seen from Beta, be forewarned that PVP might be annoying as hell. A lot of ganking from what I've seen. Maybe things will be different by launch...I'll be playing on a PVP server regardless of inadequacies.

The ingame verdict is ALL WoW players like it more than WoW, all Eq2 players think its as good as Eq2 or are unsure.
This launches huge WoW vs Eq2 battles, the simple fact is Vanguard IS Everquest 1 with a WoW ui
Honestly im waiting for "Age of Conan" look it up at youtube, its more finished than Vanguard and its not even in beta yet. also its looks amazing and it DirectX10 compatable.

Yes it does, vanguard looks so bland, the ground looks terrible, and the fighting animations are the same as in WoW, if not worse. No looks like i'm skipping Vanguard and waiting for age of Conan

Hmmm, I was also waiting for this game, but seing it in action makes me bored. Its the same click and wait system, cmon I'm bored of clicking icons or hotkeys and then waiting for math to do all work.
Just watch some Age of Conan videos, and you'll se how next gen mmorpg should look like.

I agree Age of Conan is gona blow this out of the water, although i would not call it next gen, although its changing alot fo stuff it isnt using anythign new or changing the way they work... its going to be awesome though.

Naa man, I have beta tested alot of games, And the Vanguard one is very decent im comparison to most. I have hopes, this game has alot of potensial.

Vanguard will rock, no question. It won't be finished at release but it within half a year it will be the best available MMORPG in the market.

The Graphics are great, and thats 1st level combat.
The animations ARE bad, but they were worse i think by launch OR by a week or two in they will be fixed...
Its beta so ya know... the WoW beta was by far the worst beta i ever played, and WoW isnt bad... its dumb but not bad.
So yeh, we'll see.
