@Rlindloge dude a 2010 gt is the same car as a 2005 gt unless its a 3.73 pack and thats only if you ordered it with them so yea it runs like a 13.9 at best. and take into your mind this a g8 gt does 5.2 to 60mph and 13.5 to the 1/4 mile at 106mph. so i knew a guy that worked for GM as a test driver and his g8 gxp ran a 13.0 first time at 111mph. yea and his zr1 ran a 10.88 at 135mph 3rd try both cars bone stock on street tires. he has since ran a 12.68 at 112mph in his GXP show me a gt do that

@prowler10393 i have had both 3.1 and 3.4 and they blow had to swap out engines with both u can not put nither of them threw hell. but i now own a gtp with teh 3.8 and that engine is bulletproof for sure.
the problem with these engines is to get power out of them. i had a Grand am 3.4L and although it ran well it woulda costed waay to much money just to gain a second in the 1/4 mile (without supercharging it). Not to mention the tranny will not handle the power.
Sold my GA and bought a Grand prix GTP. Now i got a real car to work with.
3.1s and 3.4s dont even bother building them. in the end Pontiac put them in the lower model cars for a reason. they aint meant to be fast..

Well V6 Mustangs do suck i guess especially over there when every cocky teenager boy drives one. Where I live its a very rare car to see. And mine with some simple bolt-ons hang's pretty nice for its heavy weight and being an automatic. I even manage to hang with my friend's new Mustang GT till 3rd gear. While the GTP is my dream for a sleeper, it isn't as quick as I thought it would be either. And it's still FWD AKA FAIL WHEEL DRIVE ;)

@prowler10393 we had an impala with a 3.4, we traded at 150k, no problems with tranny but had to replace the seal like many...otherwise no problems..

alright person below me thats bullshit... im not a fan of either companies to much but god damnit pontiac makes terrible engines.. the v6s feel more whimpy than most 4 bangers.. and i agree with you about the stang. spend the extra grand for the v8... v6s can be modded but the point of them is because some one doesnt want the power and wants just a daily driver that looks cool and gets decent gas mileage.. not so they can buy them and tune them to make them as fast as a gt

Well V6 Mustangs do suck i guess especially over there when every cocky teenager boy drives one. Where I live its a very rare car to see. And mine with some simple bolt-ons hang's pretty nice for its heavy weight and being an automatic. I even manage to hang with my friend's new Mustang GT till 3rd gear. While the GTP is my dream for a sleeper, it isn't as quick as I thought it would be either. And it's still FWD AKA FAIL WHEEL DRIVE ;)

Actually the 97-03's are faster than the 04-05's. The 97-03 gtps are roughly 3396 lbs. and the 04-05's are about 3477. You do the math! ;)
