Nice video, but 3rd tallest volcano in the world? No way. There's at least 10 in S. America over 6,000 metres. Either the guides were having you on, or that's the Blarney Stone talking.
@NickOLarse999 'Research' involves more than checking on Wikipedia. The height of a volcano can be measured from 1) the centre of the Earth 2) it's base 3) sea level. Height above sea level is the most commonly used, which puts Teide at 3718 metres, way down the list. Now try googling 'top 10 tallest volcanoes' and see what you get.
@Chrisindapurplehouse Yes I am - read my comment below. If I climbed up some stairs in a house in Dallas, Texas could I say the stairs were over a mile high, since Dallas is 1 mile above sea level? No, only a dikhed would try to say that.
It´s amazing, I´m from Tenerife, it´s a vulcano 3.718m high, stars at night are amazing... you can "hear the silence"... sunrises and sunsets are spectacular when good wheather... Sea of clouds ... everything! Nice typical music from there :-)
yeah it is the 3rd tallest volcano measured from its base on the ocean floor...

Still, I like your video, it's really well made and very interesting. You did well to climb to the top.

@NickOLarse999 Type "Teide" into Wikipedia. It's the third largest volcano in the world from the base.
Please do your research before arrogant comments.
