Sometimes the Secret scares the SHIT out of me! Today, I was talking on the phone to my friend about the secret. He always was skeptical about it. I said "Today, I'm going to seem my dream motorcycle on the highway, its just going to zoom past" and he was like "yeah.... sure.." and when we were going somewhere, a VERY NICE Yamaha R1 came flying by us, and we eventually caught up and idled with it at a stop light. I said "told you" and he was at a loss for words!!!!
I am a temp staff in an IT company. I have seen the video on Google about The Secret Law of Attraction. The company does not give us Christmas bonuses but when I started thinking about it, I always put myself in a state of Joy and started imagining I already received the bonus, guess what? The company miraculously gave us a one month salary bonus even though my contract says they dont give bonuses. This stuff really works!!! This is absolutely true! No Kidding...
For me the greatest teacher {never claiming to be Master, Guru, Yogi, et cetra, but a student "him"self} is Seth.
Lately many have taken his words and claimed them. Even though he spoke in the 60s~70s, his words are seen now in a popular movie, in a pop "entity" that uses his laws of attraction; but they cannot, by any stretch, match his wisdom~ this is a subjective, and objective, opinion. But to say that his work cannot be expanded upon and that others will not or have not gotten things even clearer is to say that thought really does NOT seek expansion. We both know it does. It MUST. Danny, I find that putting myself in a state of bliss is the hardest thing to achieve. Are you supposed to pretend that you are happy when everything in your life is nothing but series of disappointments? How can you force yourself to be happy?
as we say in the ghetto: fake it untill you make it. now if a family member just died you aren't going to be able to do that but for instance you're having a kinda sucky day just slam a smile on you face and try to think of things that make you happy... before you know it the smile will turn real

How do those two phrases account for the tragedies that happen in one's life? Chances are that that person didn't have the image of something awful happening in their life.

I think if you don't truely understand the law of attraction it can be very dangerous. Use common sense. Watch out for scams. Nothing wrong with being postive,but be smart as well. Listen to that voice inside of you.If it is to good to be true is probley is

i`ve always thought there must be more to life than the mundane 9-5, 1 holiday a year etc. been searching for...well i didnt know what i was searching for except i wanted "better" after weeks of randomly looking around...BAM! i find all this, watched the secret yesterday and today had the most chilled out less stressed day in years, does it matter if i am not religeous?
according to the bible god is the creator of the universe and everything in it,so the universe is a gift from god for us to use. i believe that we have the goal to be happy and the universe is our gift from god to help us be happy thats just my perspective i dont think you should feel bad for using the universe to be happy thats why god made it.
Here is the thing...once you wake up to ANY Universal Law you are overcome with a sense of God. While my life is on it's way to overwhelming abundance, my primary desire is to help others and know my God more closely. Thats just me.
This is very powerful stuff BUT I can't help but feel that this is complete humanism and takes away from the power of God and almost suggests that we can live a complete and purely content life without God.
I look at it differently...I am living a complete and purely content life WITH and through God. Subscribe to my videos. The Law of Attraction is a neutral law but GOD is what makes it great.
That's good but what I find with some people who live by this law is they seem to leave out what God wants them to do and instead focus purley on a comfortable life style for themselves. What worries me is when on judgemnet day Jesus asks us what we have done and if all I can show is material gain and inspiring others to have happy lifes then I think I am pretty much screwed in terms of treasures in heaven.

One of the cool things about what I'm seeing is that, sometimes, you have to WAKE UP to the things, people, and contacts that have been placed in front of you all along. I'm so excited!! Huge thank you for that!!); at pics of this beautiful life and -- Man! I *still* get choked up!
Well, break's over! Was feeling low, so wrote this instead...and it helped!
Quickly, I'd say VBoards "work" because it's "all there" (at one glance): the whole thing -- IF we really COMMIT to putting it there in some represented fashion (our Dreams, our visions, etc.)
When I finished mine, (took 2+ weeks) I actually choked up because 1), I love this Life so much and 2), it's INCREDIBLY POWERFUL to create a solidified representation that's resonate with my dreams!!
Quick Update: Danny, would *definitely* appreciate your feedback & idea-generation on my 3 projects...just now am on cruch time for new Website (so 'scuse the wait on my 2 videos...VisionVideo and comedy routine on "How to Make a VisionBoard")
It's a good schtik, ( I think!); I keep thinking of Esther Hicks' words re. this world being a "well-stocked kitchen" w/ every ingredient available", and take it from there

In my past and even now on some levels I find that "battle" going on and I am learning to just shine brighter...It never ever fails that when I try to engage the other view THEIR WAY, it pulls my energy in a direction that I was very glad to leave behind...so I now just do my best to shine brighter. What is the basis of these claims other than faith? The statement in this video doesn't offer any reasoning. Enthusiasm is great. Please, make me a convert and tell me how you know this to be true. I don't even need you to explain it to me, just name the current scientific theories that support this conclusion.

I am familiar with the film, and its subject-matter. Unfortunately we disagree as to its validity. I happen to agree with critics and the majority of physicists who regard the leap of faith required to swallow the message as incompatible with genuine science / physics. There simply is no conventionally accepted scientific basis for anyone to posess such a certain understanding of the behavior of matter on the subatomic level.
Based on the history of conventionally accepted science on fringe issues such as a round earth, a singular universe among countless other of things...I don't mind taking this side of the contrast. I am sure that your life and my life will be everything we expect it to be and I am thrilled with that. Are you?
I'm not able to talk about this at the materialist level - so won't - that's where the rub is eh? But let's only deal in the psychological. If you are depressed and hopeless are you going to be making the most of life's opportunities for change which arrise everyday?
Your body itself is a particle and warps space just like any other particle. The very fact your able to alter your vibrational frequency (mood, demeanour) will alter how the people around you react to you. Just try going out to a bar one night, sit in the corner and frown... then try the same experiment another night and be jovial and talk to people... the results will give you a data set from which you can begin to understand the connection between yourself and the world around you.
Witnessing people express and reach out to others as you are is proof of the law of attraction at work. I can finally see the faces of everyone I knew one day would appear.

But I think many of these "The Secret" videos don't really give the right impression to people.
The universe will not give you money, cars or material wealth. The universe will just give you joy.
If you are in a state of joy, You will attract things that fullfill this joy you are feeling.
The energy around you will manifest situations of joy. Money is just something that gives us joy because it gives us freedom.
The main message is feel joy, the universe will give you more.

In my past and even now on some levels I find that "battle" going on and I am learning to just shine brighter...It never ever fails that when I try to engage the other view THEIR WAY, it pulls my energy in a direction that I was very glad to leave behind...so I now just do my best to shine brighter. Hey - can you show us your Vision Board? Take a picture or something?

Couldn't agree more. Thank you for your comments! I also believe that your job, as well as mine, is to persuade by shining a bright light. The Light does not battle the darkness...when the light shines, the darkness simply fades away.

I like to say "The Love is what is real and the Joy is Who you are -- "Joy-for-Joy's-Sake, Joy". There's really only that "Family" of joy to me; this beatiful family of that Light...so I LOVE seeing others get empowered...it charges ME up!! Anyway -- best Game in Town!!

What is the basis of these claims other than faith? The statement in this video doesn't offer any reasoning. Enthusiasm is great. Please, make me a convert and tell me how you know this to be true. I don't even need you to explain it to me, just name the current scientific theories that support this conclusion.
I am happy to engage in a dialoge, and am open to being convinced, but I require actual reasoning. Is that an unreasonable request?

I am familiar with the film, and its subject-matter. Unfortunately we disagree as to its validity. I happen to agree with critics and the majority of physicists who regard the leap of faith required to swallow the message as incompatible with genuine science / physics. There simply is no conventionally accepted scientific basis for anyone to posess such a certain understanding of the behavior of matter on the subatomic level.

Based on the history of conventionally accepted science on fringe issues such as a round earth, a singular universe among countless other of things...I don't mind taking this side of the contrast. I am sure that your life and my life will be everything we expect it to be and I am thrilled with that. Are you?

I'm not able to talk about this at the materialist level - so won't - that's where the rub is eh? But let's only deal in the psychological. If you are depressed and hopeless are you going to be making the most of life's opportunities for change which arrise everyday?

Your body itself is a particle and warps space just like any other particle. The very fact your able to alter your vibrational frequency (mood, demeanour) will alter how the people around you react to you. Just try going out to a bar one night, sit in the corner and frown... then try the same experiment another night and be jovial and talk to people... the results will give you a data set from which you can begin to understand the connection between yourself and the world around you.
