@Pikachuking2525 @carminizzle you have to use growl or tail whip type moves 6 times each time you use it it should decrease a level on the pokemon so if you use it 6 times it will make the pokemon a level 1

GREAT TRICK I JUST LEARNED FOR PEOPLE TRYING TO OPEN THE MENU BEFORE THE TRAINER SEES YOU, ONLY FOR AN EMULATOR THOUGH

if you're using the visual boy advance emulator, go to options > frame skip and change the numbers to 4 or higher. this changes the amount of frames skipped per second which allows you to press menu before the trainer sees you.

i got it every try when i did this, but i failed every time if i didn't change the frame skip

@thedarkstar11098 if you are using an emulator then use the save state function to quickly be able to reload your file if you mess up the timing on the pause, if you are using a real game boy then save it and turn your gb off and on if you dont get the pause up in time. You have to be fast to get this to work.

@thedarkstar11098 make sure to save before doing the fight just so you can try it multiple times,

like i said during the video there are many different combos of abilities to use to get different pokemon,

so they might not all work EXACTLY the same way but the principle is still there

@mamalugioverlord999 It's legal to have a ROM on your computer so long as you have an actual hard copy of the game. Besides, no one cares if people download ROMs for free. You can get these games for 50 cents now anyway, so it's not like Nintendo and Game Freak are losing money from old Game Boy games being distributed freely on the internet as ROMs. (however, I can agree with you on games that are 4th gen onward)

I heard using rare candy to level to 100 gives worse stats compared to if you level a pokemon normally. Is this method of getting to level 100 the same as using rare candies or leveling normally?

Also, does a traded pokemon get better stats as they level or one you catch yourself?

@SimpsonsFana It seems that way sometimes. Seems like they are too weak to be 100s. Thats why i use calciums and other stat boosting items on any pokemon leveled with candies.

@PickUPshow Doesnt matter who you use, as long as you use something that lowers one of the enemy pokemon's stats until it can't be lowered anymore ("it had no effect"). Ex. Growl- Attack / Tail Whip- Defense /String Shot- Speed.

In order to get a Pokemon to jump from level 1 to level 100, the Pokemon must get some experience, but NOT ENOUGH TO LEVEL UP. If they don't get enough EXP to grow to level 2, for some reason they then jump to level 100.
