  • I don't understand the Recondition phase. How does the charger know it is a deep cycle battery?

  • my year old Optima battery shows only a 10.74 volts will this bring it back to life?

  • could the xs7000 charge an dead car battery to life?

  • i have an optima yellow top and my batterie started after being parked for 4 months over the winter in norther canada

  • why crushing it on rock sand and not on asphalt????

  • You have not see the PulseTech Xtreme charge. The C-Tek unit pales in comparision. If the C-Tek is fully automatic why do they have switches. I see a lot of confusion on the previous posts.Eliminate the confusion use the fully automatic Xtreme charge for WET,GEL,AGM VRLA. Benchmarked on the Optima and Odysee batteries. The military uses now it is your turn.

  • When i have it on my batteri, should i have it on the car mode or the frost mode?

I have an Gel batteri (optima)

    Just woundering=)

  • The snowflake mode is for use during below zero degree temperatures and for AGM batteries. The car mode can be used at all other times.

Also, it is our understanding that Optima batteries are AGM - so we are a bit unsure to what your battery is exactly. But if your battery is a GEL battery, then we recommend that the car mode be used on your GEL batteries, as these batteries are sensitive to high voltage.

  • @CTEKBatteryChargers: I live in Germany and actually we have minus ten degrees, I own an 1991 modell of Polo and the xs 3600, should I use snowflake or regular mode at night?

Today it worked well at minus 5 degrees, what are your experiences with minus 20 ?

  • @deeps80

    I also has xs 3600.

Can confirm it works ok in -30 deg!

  • an optima is an AGM Gel battery, not a standard Gel, if you read the manual, it specifies to use the frost/agm functions

  • Yes i sell them at work, wouldnt be a problem. Just depends how fast you want it done., eg small charger takes a while, large one not as long

  • hi....is it possible to keep it permanently in the motorcycle?,,,,can i use it to keep the battery charged without the standard regulator and rectifier??,,,,,,how much does it cost and would you send it overseas with payment in adavance?thanks!.

  • Hey man, im not sure about using like an alterntor but i can find out when i go back to work, and yeah cab probably send one to you if you pay

  • Yes, you can use it on any lead-acid battery - from motorbikes, cars, vans, trucks, boats, caravans, etc.

  • yes you can you can use the smart charger on any battery it is soly for charging purpose hope this helps

  • Does anyone know if I can use the same battery charger on a Mitsubishi Lancer (medium car I think) and a Hyundai Excel (small car)?
