I've been playing for 8 years. Even though it's nowhere near as amazing as it was, it's still damn addictive... and I still love it. I miss the old Haven a lot though. :'(

The day after that rule i made a special character and stood at the Britain bank where I would open trapped exploding boxes while invisible & res with pens, while still invisible I would get my friend to stand over my invisible body & shout free loot! while I was looting my own corpse while invisible It looked like my friend was though i put bulk loot in my pack before i died,..

They just dont make games the same these days =). Being the first MMO for me in my short life and even the ultima series started before I was even born yet Ive spent happy 4-5 years playing actively this game and have to say its been the most entertaining game Ive played so far... and Ive played quite a lot. The game had magic! I remember playing this game and using ICQ to talk with friends! lol, I was lost in this game. I played in high school almost everynight until my dad woke up and then i would try to sneak to bed at sunrise. Still ended up going to college on a baseball scholarship, but i loved that game!!!!!

I can not describe the feeling I get upon listening to this music. The only way I can attempt to describe the feeling is something deep within my gut. I must be a huge nerd cause I don't think anything gives me the same feeling. I would sacrifice every bad ass graphics game/console out there for just 1 day to play this. All I can do is hope and pray EA gives a good answer by the end of 2010 of whether or not they will make a classic shard.

This game looks fantastic, I love my Point & Click and Isometric games XD but I don't think I could start playing another MMO :( already put lots of time into a Point and Click one, ruined by it's moronic community.
Some of us still remember Ultima 5, "Warriors of Destiny", when this song was released to the public for the very first time. It was the song of the Shrines of Virtue where the Avatar and people of Britannia meditated for wisdom.
I grew up with Ultima 1 through 7. Long ago, before the Internet, before 1997, Ultima was one of the first and among the greatest RPGs. Forgotten roots and ancestry.. EA has destroyed it for their greed and pride. Much like the destruction of Magincia, so long ago.

I was an addict the moment i started playing in 2001... There were a lot of improvements over the years, but for some they took away the aspect of mystery and discovery.
It's not the graphics, it's not the animation; it's the perspective. Horrible, horrible perspective. It hurts my eyes; I can't play this for over 10 minutes.

Ultima... This song brings back many good memories.... I even went so far as to reinstall Ultima 7 Complete using the Exult emulator and the Ultima Collection --- Got it to run superb with all the music and sound intact.... so amazing. Ultima 7 was the best original Ultima game.... and I agree that if UO was like it was during T2A... I would still play it.

Only MMO I've played where you can just work on a craft skill in a busy area and just chat to people. Britain had it's very near its own society. I used to love selling dragons and mares at the bank, in Trammel when it arrived.
Had dungeons so infrequently visited they actually were quite isolated! I spent 5 years playing it and I don't think I saw everything.
WoW was good, but it lacked something... something UO had. Like stealing a boat and attacking Cove's Lizardmen with a friend :)
believe it or not, after 6 years i re-subsribed to UO only to find im 6 or 7 expansions behind and they changed that epic intro tune into something real flashy :F even made new clients which makes UO alike any other mmo (although its still classic). Bit sad that Felucca wasn't enough.. I was fine up till the 3rd world came :(.
I started playing on Catskills in 2001 when I was just 8 or so, when my older sister bought the game. UO is a huge chunk of my childhood. I would run home everyday to sign on and hunt with my guild members. Without UO, I'm sure that I would be an entirely different person today, because I had so many close friends there...
Everyone I used to know is now gone from UO. It's so sad to see Britain empty. I know this song by heart. UO is a game that, when really enjoyed, can never be forgotten.
When I first played UO, I sat at the tailor in northern Vesper making fancy shirts and just chatted with people for weeks. It was the best online game ever. I miss it so much!
Such a spectacular game back in the day. EA ruined it after they bought it from Origin. THen came Felucca and Trammel and well... that sums it up all there with just the words Felucca and Trammel :( The absolute best days in UO were before the Reputation system with the original Notority system and optionless PVP! not ever knowing what or who you would run into really made your heart pump when it did happen not like today where everything is request only and safe to go just about anywhere :(
@Crosis2814 It should be pointed out bought Origin back in 1992, and financed this game. EA never bought Ultima Online from Origin as Origin was already a part of EA, and thus EA owned UO.
I also wish that the UO of old would return, but please don't spread misinformation like that.
Brings back so many wonderful memories of 1997-2000. Played on Great Lakes shard, 2nd in command of "The Dracul". So many hours spent mining near dungeon Wrong, BSing and PKing at the crossroads, the west Britian bank being the buy and trade hot spot :) going to dungeon Deceit training elementals through moongates to kill noobifor loot :) The OLD SCHOOL notority system, Managed to make Great Lord then killing Ogre Lords in Wrong with that spinning blade spell. miss seeing Corp Por! Kal Ort Por!
I remember before insurance, how i use to lurk in Felucia (spelling? its been awhile) i remember running for my life from guild enemies we had made awhile back. We would have battles involving maybe 40 players, and it was crazy. I remember, hiding in one of our guilds houses, waiting for them to all come in. Those were the glory days, ultima online was the greatest MMORPG, its PVP still is the greatest ever. I just wish I could go back and relive the glory days of this game.
This game was in it's prime just before the coming of PUB 16. the fruits of accomplishment from the hard work of developing a pvp mage died with that patch.
wow...almost brings a tear to my eye...and kind of sad...? I have yet found a game that matches the gameplay, and PVP action. Traveling in UO was pretty damn nice too. Loved the runestone markers, recall and portals. When you hide you actually dissapear and...the other players could NOT see you unlike wow and lotro where people still see a blinking version of you. So gay.

I grew up with Ultima 1 through 7. Long ago, before the Internet, before 1997, Ultima was one of the first and among the greatest RPGs. Forgotten roots and ancestry.. EA has destroyed it for their greed and pride. Much like the destruction of Magincia, so long ago.

I wish the perspective of this game was better.
It's not the graphics, it's not the animation; it's the perspective. Horrible, horrible perspective. It hurts my eyes; I can't play this for over 10 minutes.
Couldn't they have gone for a regular isometric perspective instead of this?

Ultima... This song brings back many good memories.... I even went so far as to reinstall Ultima 7 Complete using the Exult emulator and the Ultima Collection --- Got it to run superb with all the music and sound intact.... so amazing. Ultima 7 was the best original Ultima game.... and I agree that if UO was like it was during T2A... I would still play it.

Feel the exact same way.. I remember waking up EARLY and rushing down to the computer to start mining and exploring... Wow those were the days, I still play UO on freeshards and i can't enable music because i know that when i hear this song im just gonna stand still in game and just listen.

Only MMO I've played where you can just work on a craft skill in a busy area and just chat to people. Britain had it's very near its own society. I used to love selling dragons and mares at the bank, in Trammel when it arrived.
Had dungeons so infrequently visited they actually were quite isolated! I spent 5 years playing it and I don't think I saw everything.
WoW was good, but it lacked something... something UO had. Like stealing a boat and attacking Cove's Lizardmen with a friend :)

believe it or not, after 6 years i re-subsribed to UO only to find im 6 or 7 expansions behind and they changed that epic intro tune into something real flashy :F even made new clients which makes UO alike any other mmo (although its still classic). Bit sad that Felucca wasn't enough.. I was fine up till the 3rd world came :(.

I started playing on Catskills in 2001 when I was just 8 or so, when my older sister bought the game. UO is a huge chunk of my childhood. I would run home everyday to sign on and hunt with my guild members. Without UO, I'm sure that I would be an entirely different person today, because I had so many close friends there...
Everyone I used to know is now gone from UO. It's so sad to see Britain empty. I know this song by heart. UO is a game that, when really enjoyed, can never be forgotten.

When I first played UO, I sat at the tailor in northern Vesper making fancy shirts and just chatted with people for weeks. It was the best online game ever. I miss it so much!

Such a spectacular game back in the day. EA ruined it after they bought it from Origin. THen came Felucca and Trammel and well... that sums it up all there with just the words Felucca and Trammel :( The absolute best days in UO were before the Reputation system with the original Notority system and optionless PVP! not ever knowing what or who you would run into really made your heart pump when it did happen not like today where everything is request only and safe to go just about anywhere :(

@Crosis2814 It should be pointed out bought Origin back in 1992, and financed this game. EA never bought Ultima Online from Origin as Origin was already a part of EA, and thus EA owned UO.
I also wish that the UO of old would return, but please don't spread misinformation like that.

Brings back so many wonderful memories of 1997-2000. Played on Great Lakes shard, 2nd in command of "The Dracul". So many hours spent mining near dungeon Wrong, BSing and PKing at the crossroads, the west Britian bank being the buy and trade hot spot :) going to dungeon Deceit training elementals through moongates to kill noobifor loot :) The OLD SCHOOL notority system, Managed to make Great Lord then killing Ogre Lords in Wrong with that spinning blade spell. miss seeing Corp Por! Kal Ort Por!

I remember before insurance, how i use to lurk in Felucia (spelling? its been awhile) i remember running for my life from guild enemies we had made awhile back. We would have battles involving maybe 40 players, and it was crazy. I remember, hiding in one of our guilds houses, waiting for them to all come in. Those were the glory days, ultima online was the greatest MMORPG, its PVP still is the greatest ever. I just wish I could go back and relive the glory days of this game.

This game was in it's prime just before the coming of PUB 16. the fruits of accomplishment from the hard work of developing a pvp mage died with that patch.

wow...almost brings a tear to my eye...and kind of sad...? I have yet found a game that matches the gameplay, and PVP action. Traveling in UO was pretty damn nice too. Loved the runestone markers, recall and portals. When you hide you actually dissapear and...the other players could NOT see you unlike wow and lotro where people still see a blinking version of you. So gay.
